Loved it!Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Convenience and comfort.
Location: Perfect location! Walking distance to everything. Grocery across the street. Access to beach.
I stayed here for 2 nights in November... and then left to stay at Diamondhead for 4 nights. I couldn't get into Diamondhead for the Fri and Sat night so that is how I stumbled upon staying at Beach Shell Inn initially. What a lovely surprise.. It was a small place, but I felt so at home. Cheryl greeted us and made us feel so welcome. The room was tidy and clean and the bathroom was very clean (I hate old dirty bathrooms)! The pool was right outside our door which was nice. Grocery store right across the street and walking distance to pier. VERY convenient location. Cheryl offered to get us beach towels and use of the beach furniture. Hotel is right on the beach so quick beach access a plus. I would 100% stay here again. It's not as modern and new as Diamondhead Resort - but something about this place made me feel so comfy and welcome. Considerably cheaper than Diamondhead - so I may even choose this place next time for my full stay.

Great little hotelPosted Nov 30, 2014
I rented a room over the thanksgiving week. The owners were great, the room was nice, clean and quiet. The hotel is centrally located, and is just a short walk from restaurants, shopping etc. Beach access is right there, five seconds and you are on the beach.

Einfaches, sauberes Hotel/Motel in StrandnähePosted Nov 9, 2014
Kostenloses WLAN!

Unique gem in Ft. Myers Beach!Posted Nov 3, 2014
Cons: We can't wait to see the upgrades to the enterior of the Inn!
Location: Located right on the main drag in Ft. Myers Beach. Close to everything!
My boyfriend and I booked 2 nights at the Beach Shell Inn to attend a wedding. When we arrived, the owner, Cheryl, offered to bring us a coffee pot for our room and beach towels. She immediately brought over a large coffee pot with enough coffee to comfortably last us the entire stay (and we are serious coffee-drinkers!). The beach towels she gave us were mis-matched, REAL beach towels- not those dinky hotel towels you find at most places- and they were the nicest, thickest towels I've seen in a long time! The beach access couldn’t be better- it was gorgeous, private & quiet. The exterior of the Inn didn’t look like much because they were in the process of upgrading the fencing and the landscaping wasn’t in yet, but the pool was nice. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Cheryl was great and even went out of her way to come out of the office to tell us how nice we looked when we were leaving for the wedding. Our stay was fantastic! It was almost like staying with family. My boyfriend even insisted we take a picture with Cheryl before we left! :-) We will definitely be back the Beach Shell Inn- hopefully soon!

Comfortable Stay Very Close to BeachPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Location very near beach, location near restaurants etc, cleanliness, personable, helpful staff, comfort, quiet, price.
Cons: Perfect for what we wanted. Others might like a "fancier" place to stay, and there are plenty of those nearby for twice the price!
Location: We were there just for one day and night, as we were taking the Key West Express boat to Key West. My friend liked Ft. Myers Beach as much as Key West
Although the decor and facility is not updated or modern, it is very clean and comfortable. The staff was personable and very helpful in recommending a reasonable & excellent nearby seaside restaurant that we loved. Our room was quiet, the mattresses were new, and we slept well. The price was very affordable. We couldn't have asked for anything more--great for budget travel for a couple or family.
