I hate being lied to.

Pros: I've found Marriott hotels to be reliable and consistently clean.
Cons: Having front desk personnel who tell the truth and a more reasonable price for breakfast. Breakfast was about $10.00/person for the "full buffet"
Location: The mall has large anchor stores, small specialty stores, a movie theatre and a Costco's.
The hotel is located in a large mall, still under construction. When I checked in (early), I was told that the only rooms available were facing the construction. The receptionist said that if I waited an hour, many rooms in different parts of the hotel would be opening up. I told her I'd wait and left for lunch. When I returned an hour later, I noticed a touring bus parked out front. The same woman who told me about the rooms then claimed that the only rooms left were on the construction side and that she'd told me that she'd have rooms "on the next floor up" not anywhere else. She was stupid in thinking that this would not be reported, since I detest being lied to. The room's refrigerator didn't keep things cool enough. There is no place else to go for breakfast unless you like 711. Gas is available only at Costco's in the mall-if you're a member. You can get gas at the 711, but you've got to go out on the highway and drive in a huge loop to return. You're stuck at the Marriott (overpriced and mediocre) or 711 for breakfast.

I want to sincerely apologize that the front desk associate was not able to provide you with a room that you requested. and that you felt you were lied too. However, there are several restaurant such as Fresh Planet, Calistoga, Starbucks in Target and McDonalds that do provide breakfast options. We hope that you try us again in the future.

Rooms and lobby were clean and nicely appointed. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Great breakfast buffet. Location is great with shopping and restaurants right in the same complex.

Internet does not work properly

I have stayed at this hotel about 3 times each each, visiting family. I need Internet when I travel for my work. The Internet has always been shaky, dropping in and out randomly. After my last visit in August 2012, I left a review noting that the Internet was unreliable. The management responded with a note that the Internet was being upgraded. However, I learned during my stay last weekend, that the Internet still just drops in and out, and when it does work, it's just too slow. I like the area, although the hotel is a bit dated, but I've decided that I just cannot stay here in the future. If you do not need Internet, this place is fine. If you do need Internet, go to another hotel.
