Great location

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms and cleanliness
Location: On the beach and with plenty of places to go to eat out
Hotel has great location, but not worth the money they charge. Staff is pleasant, rooms are comfortable, but need updating. Not much cleaning was done except for making beds and changing towels. Breakfast place on lobby lever was good, fast and staff was pleasant.

Pros: The food, staff, cleanliness, and the look of the hotel.
Cons: The beach towels could be better quality.
Location: The location was perfect, close to downtown and the nightlife.
We loved the place, and how close it was to the beach and the nightlife.

Nice hotel on the beach

Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: Enjoyed the spa, the convenience of the beach, the WiFi, the newspaper, and the friendly staff. The spaciousness of the room was nice as well.
Cons: Update the cabinets, include the price of the beach chair rental in the room rate, offer some rooms with two queen or twin beds,
Location: Location was within walking distance to Times Square which was rather honky-tonk. Some great restaurants nearby. We were interested in beaching it.
This hotel is right on the beach which is great, but bring your own chairs and umbrella because they charge you for them. The staff here couldn't have been any friendlier! Terrific massages given at the spa. Comfortable bed and great views of the ocean. Room was a nice size, but cabinets above sink needed updating. All in all, a nice place to stay.

Nice place for a decent price

You are on the beach in paradise. Try to get a gulf view room if you can - it's worth it.

Wonderful staff!

Pros: People, and a great veiw of Fort Myers pier and bridge.
Location: Walking distance to many shops and restaurants at the pier.
This was a return visit for my wife and I. We were in Sanibel the previous couple weeks and were flying out Sunday. So we stayed at the Diamondhead on the Saturday night before our departure. The staff was very helpful in holding our luggage so we might enjoy the afternoon at the pool, while our room was made up. The bell hop went out of his way to keep our items we brought from Sanibel in a fridge while we relaxed. He came out to the pool with the confirmation our room was prepared and even brought us down our welcome packet with 'keys'. When we went to our room our bags were placed in the bedroom and our food items were put in the fridge. You would expect a clean room and a beautiful pool for the money, but the service is what makes it special.

Disappointed

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: The view from the 12th flor was nice.
Cons: Employees attitudes, cleanliness, remodel and update. The bedding is poor. If you call "Room Service" on the room phone, nobody answers.
Location: Other than walk the beach, hang out at the pool or go to some drinking establishment there's not much to do in this area.
The Hotel Staff was mostly lazy and indifferent. The bartender wouldn't check back with you to see if you wanted anything more after the first request. The waitress around the pool area was rude and indifferent. The facilities are not 4 star or even 3 star. The class of folks that stay there are basically mostly rednecks. That area of Fort Myers beach and North to Times Square is rather low to mid class. The Northern part of the island and the Southern end are much better looking areas. Overall, our lesson learned? Stay in Naples instead, this area and this Hotel are not worth the money.
