Ft Myers May 2014 Trip

Pros: Housekeeping started later so we didn't hear or feel pushed to get an early start. All staff very helpful and friendly. Nice pool area & temp.
Cons: Definitely a musty smell in dresser drawers that should be addressed.
Location: Location was great for what I was there to do.
Staying at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott Fort Myers was a very enjoyable & pleasant trip. The hotel was quiet, in a good location to restaurants, shopping, and traveling north or south. We appreciated the later breakfast on weekends. All staff very accommodating & friendly. I would definitely return to stay here.

Pros: It was a good location for what I was doing while in town.
Cons: Cleaning and ensuring all elements of the room are functional. As mentioned above the toilet was barely functional.
Staff was good. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Room was okay except that toilet did not flush properly, the sink was slow to drain and the room was not as clean as could be. Hallways also looked like hadn't been vacumed in a few days with some minor debris evident. Also, the elevator was out of service then was fixed then was out of service then was fixed again - I was on the 2nd floor so it was not really a problem, just an annoyance.

Hotel for all types of travelers

Pros: Staff was nice and good breakfast.
Cons: I could hear people moving up and down the hall, so it did loud a few times.
Location: All types of shopping and restaurants, too many to name.
This hotel was near all types of shopping, restaurants and also a short drive to Sanibel/Captiva. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms clean and they had a good breakfast.

Marriott was a quality brand in the day

This hotel is aged, bathroom is borderline old school. I paid $220 and value it at $89.99. It's an old hotel with an updated lobby, and dated, small rooms. I wasn't expecting a Ritz Carlton...but this place was beat.

a decent place to stay

if the soccer regionals were not happening the same day I was there this place would have been a lot nicer...breakfast was okay, refrigerator and microwave in the room was nice, but the hallways were a little dark and se emed kind of dingy.very small exercise room.better than not having one though.overall I would give it a7 out of 10

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Totally disappointed on arriaval that the gym was closed due to airconditioning failure in reception. At the top of reasons for chosing this hotel was a 24 hour gym, as I do not sleep well and my husband has an illnes so needs his sleep. As we were there for 4 nights we tried to change but they would not let us, as we had booked through hotels.com. We were not offered a gym locally or a different hotel. This really ruined our holiday as we were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday and our 27th wedding anniversary.

Staff was excellent and helpful. Pool was clean. Breakfast was good but could have changed the main course up for those staying longer then one or two days
