“Clean Gulf side hotel”
Up Side:The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. The staff from the front desk, cleaning, to maintenance were all friendly. The hotel appeared to be freshly painted. The covered seating and added sand/beach site was a great perk. Down Side: pool was too cold, tiki bar did not offer very many choices for lunch. The on site restaurant was pricey. The majority of rooms are not on pool they face the opposite direction and you must walk past that building to get to pool and then beach area. So majority rooms only have a parking lot view.
“Pre-Thanksgiving get-away to Sanibel”
Hotel not filled, so perhaps they were more lenient. We were able to check in early and leave a couple hours late. Staff pleasant. Lunch by the pool was on "island time" so just be patient. Bring water shoes/sandals for walking on the beach...lots of small ones in the process of being ground to sand...but they aren't sand yet! Fridge and microwave turned out to be a great asset. Didn't realize road in from mainland was a toll of $6...be prepared!
“Want to go back”
Everything was very nice. The hotel and grounds were well maintained and clean. The beach was great. The restaurant and poolside grill were both nice and reasonably priced. Good value.
“Will absolutely return and recommend!”
What a great little place!! Let me begin by saying that you would never know this was a branded hotel aside from the one sign at the street. The manager, Peggy, was great from check-in questions, to a quick hello at the pool, to printing our boarding passes for us. Courtney....what can I say...the guy runs one great little tiki bar! Great service, always a greeting and always made you feel like you were a local just hanging out. The poor guy even had the bar open for Thanksgiving afternoon ! I would recommend this hotel 100% and would absolutely return!
“Very convenient to the beach”
Room was very convenient to the beach. Were a little disappointed that the room faced a parking lot and was very dark due to being in the shade all day. Considering the amount of sand that gets tracked everywhere, the maid did a good job of keeping the room clean. There was a lot of noise that came from the room next to us. Overall, we were happy with our stay.
“Great shelling”
We will go back to this Holiday Inn.
“convenient, comfortable, fit my plans just fine”
For a short stay, this was a great solution to wish for comfort and shore access and quiet. Thanks.
“Great hotel”
This hotel has a great little tiki bar by the pool which is right next to the beach. It supplies beach chairs for its guests. It is well maintained inside the room and outside. All staff were helpful and nice.
“Not Happy”
The air conditioner in our room was not working properly and made our stay very uncomfortable. They should warn you about the sea lice situation or provide protection at gift shop (which is poorly stocked). Food on site at restaurant was very good as was the service at the restaurant. Location was great. Signage to get there is very poor and hidden. Wouldn't go back
“Nice beach hotel on Sanibel. Updated somewhat.”
Lacks big screen tv in reception area, which should replace the big Holiday Inn sign over the sofa. An old resort somewhat updated. Could be a great hotel, but would require a tear down. Prime beach location.
