Decent hotel for the money.

Pros: The hotel seemed reasonably priced for being right on the beach. The hotel also had a nice pool and a nice poolside tiki bar that also served food.
Cons: The air conditioning/room humidity.
The hotel was fine overall. However, my room was so humid, it had a humidifier in it; but the humidifier didn't even seem to help. One of the maintenance staff said that the thermostat for the air conditioning needed to be set several degrees below the actual desired room temperature. Once this was done, the room became cooler and more comfortable. It is unfortunate that the thermostat did not work properly and that I spent part of my time in discomfort.

So sorry you experienced an issue with the A/C unit in the room. The dehumidifier in combination with the A/C unit usually keeps the room quite comfortable. It is our job to make sure you are comfortable as quickly as possible; I apologize we didn't get it resolved sooner. I do thank you for your comments.

Great family hotel on a beautiful beach.

Pros: Comfortable, clean and very cute. Beach is beautiful! Pool area and Tiki Bar also very nice.
Cons: It does not have a hot tub.
Location: It is located directly on the beach and only 2-3 blocks from Periwinkle Way which is the main shopping/dining area in Sanibel.
We where very happy with our stay at the Holiday Inn Sanibel Island and with our first Expedia booking. The hotel is clean, comfortable and has beautiful grounds. Everything is kept in tip top shape. Our beds were very comfortable with lots of comfy pillows. The Starfish Grill restaurant (on site) served up some of the best food we had on Sanibel - especially the sushi which they offer several nights each week. The hotel's location is excellent. We were very pleased with our entire Expedia experience. It was so easy and everything worked perfectly - flight, car and hotel.

Comfortable hotel with private beach

Although a little tired, this hotel offers good value for money. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, and very clean. The beach us to die for, and just a few steps away. The Starfish Restaurant is another bonus, with a menu for all pockets. Breakfast is an optional extra, but very good if a bit pricey.

Hotel next to the beach with good food and comfort

Pros: lay-out of handicapped room food service nice for families and retired and handicapped
Cons: one day the wifi was down-annoying--but they fixed it quickly
Location: Not far from bridge On beach Wonderful restaurants on Sanibel St. Isabel's church was beautiful and welcoming for its wonderful Christmas service
I had a handicapped room, which was very well equipped and laid out thoughtfully. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food in the restauranr was good. There was a wide selection of food and the tiki bar next to the pool.

Very basic hotel room. Beds were very comfortable & I sleep in a Tempurpedic. Very nice beach man who drilled holes on the beach for our umbrella & seems to enjoy causing in his golf cart.

Love the island - finding somewhere else to staf

The property was nice. Rooms were small - nothing special at all. The landscaping is wonderful, location is supreme. The only staff that should not be fired are the maids. The restaurant staff was incredibly rude.

Nice except for loud machinery

Pros: The beach access was great.
Cons: In the restaurant, the music was very loud and the prices were high. We decided not to eat there. The loud music and high prices are not unique.
Location: The location was fine for anyone with a car.
We asked specifically for 2 quiet rooms. One room turned out to be over a laundry or some other equipment room where the noise and strong vibration kept our friend awake most of the night. We had some sound and vibration in our room during breakfast that would have been annoying had it lasted. Our friend changed rooms and all was fine after that. The desk clerk said he was surprised and that he would have someone check to see what the problem was. The maid was not surprised. when we checked out after the second day, no one had checked on the noise. Otherwise, our experience was very positive.
