This place was scary.

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything, especially renovation.
Location: A junky bar directly across.
You really don't expect much for cheap hotel room, but cleanliness. This was not clean, needs extreme renovation. Staff was not friendly, this is a 1970's hotel.

No shower

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Our shower did not even work. Only a bath was able to be taken. For travelers the facility feels unsafe and mischievous guests next door - not a good facility!

Bedding old and worn as well as towels. Room had strange odor. TV had horizontal lines running through it. Plumbing in tub was loose.

Ft Meyers City Motel

Posted May 9, 2014
Pros: For an older motel, it is in reasonably good shape but is definitely dated.
In General, we booked this room at a low rate for the area but felt it was not worth the $145 a night stay.

Don't stay here.

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Tear it down.
The first room had no air conditioning. The second was just as shabby but at least the air conditioner worked. Both my husband and I had fond memories of Howard Johnson, but it truly is a total loss. They ran out of coffee. Half the outlets in the room did not work.

Pool area nice, great price, close to food

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: I liked the pool area. The restaurants were close by.The price was very good.We had a microwave and small fridge in our room. We were close to stores.
Cons: The breakfast could have been better.Food ok but no fruit.13 miles from airport. No shuttle service. We had to pay a driver to get there.$35 one way
Location: Shopping was close as well as many fast food places.Downtown was not too far away, The beaches were 13 miles away.
We stayed there from Mar.29th until Apr.5th.2014. We got a great price online.I liked having a microwave and small fridge in our room. The pool was a good size. The staff was friendly. The breakfast could have been better. The food tasted fine but they did not have any fruit to choose from. They had 2 cereals, toast, waffles,oj,apple juice, coffee. The hotel is close to many fast food places and right across the street there is Mel's diner.Very good restaurant and prices. The beaches are about 12 miles or so from the hotel. The airport is about 13 miles away. They do not offer a shuttle service to the airport. The rooms were fine.We enjoyed our stay here. It's also close to stores. There is a mall nearby and a Walmart a few miles away.We didn't have to drive too far to get to the places we wanted to see.It was a good location.
