“quiet beach, great for families”

This is a great place, quiet, right on the gulf. We had a gulfside unit which had the most beautiful view from the screened-in lanai. The unit was very clean and had pretty modern kitchen and baths, and a washer dryer. (units are indiv owned so are not exactly the same). Kitchen well stocked with pots/dishes etc, but you have to buy all food, saran, etc. We went with our 2 yo, and through island rentals we had a crib, high chair and bucket of beach toys waiting when we arrived. This is an easy place to take young children. Their beach is not crowded at all, you can walk for miles. The pool is heated which is nice on cooler days. Two main markets on island although both nice are pricey, along drive from Ft Myer's airport are many grocery stores (publix, winn-dixie) so could stock up before crossing onto island to save money. Bikes available to rent.

“Relaxing Sanibel Vacation”

The location was great and the condo was spacious for a family of 5. It appears to be an older complex, but very well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, etc. There is a supermarket (Jerry's) nearby. Though a bit pricey, nice service. Once you are done shopping, they will deliver your groceries to your car. The screened porches were very enjoyable and just a short walk to the screened pool or the beach. They have beach chairs available for use . My only suggestion would be a newer mattress in the master bedroom and a newer area rug in the living room. Otherwise, would definitely return again!

“Great Sanibel Condo Development!”

My family and I were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the 2 bedroom/2 bath condo unit we rented. We enjoyed our stay, were close to the beach and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. I recommend Sanibel Arms West as a great, family place to stay!

“Good value for the price - great beach, everything you need”

Sanibel Arms West is a very clean, tidy property. Beach access was excellent and neighborhood was attractive and convenient. Property was very quiet (nice!) from about 9 p.m. until a reasonable hour of the morning. Architecturally uninteresting (unit was basically a box), but noticeably larger than most vacation condos we have rented. Unit was extremely clean and well-stocked, including things we didn't expect, such as beach towels, plastic wrap, vacuum cleaner (lots of sand with two kids) and a cooler. Grounds were as neat as the condo - well-kept and not a thing out of place. Laundry facility had unusually large number of machines and there was no waiting to use them. Only suggestion for improvement is that the bedding was worn out and pillows and mattresses were old and not as comfortable as they should have been. Outdoor pool was pleasant but overheated. We would stay there again.

“Good value and location”

The condo was decorated well and had all the basics. Our unit was a minute walk to the beach and a convenient drive to all places on the island.Only problem was that the air conditioner was not working properly but, the weather was such that open windows and ceiling fans were adequate for that time of the year.

“Not a great place”

Misrepresented as "Gulf View" but there was NO possible way to see Gulf from the unit. Kitchen pots & pans were terrible and not very clean, the coffee maker was substandard. Unit was NOT ready by 3 PM check-in time, while we had many groceries to pack away ... and the internet was down the first 2 days. Other than that, Sanibel is wonderful but will definitely seek a better place for next time ...
