Grand Bay is a special place, quiet and relaxing. so close to Sanibel and Captiva.

“Excellent central location for beaches, Sanibel and Ft Myers area”

We enjoyed the outer building (Grande Bay) for this trip for the Continental breakfast and self parking but taking the shuttle bus to the main hotel might not be the thing for some. Another down item might be that when the tide was out the mangrove wetlands (great nature walking trail) behind the hotel had a not so enjoyable smell. The Hotels location made visiting areas quite convenient. Overall, we had a very relaxing vacation and would return again.

the hotel was beautiful. the roomms were very clean.the pools were very nice,forgot about little lizards but they dont bother you. I would definitely go back and definitely stay there. I was close to naples and sanibel island and to tell you the truth I preferred staying there as opposed to staying on the island itself. Take it from me ,my mother really liked it,and she is verrrrrry hard to please.

“Just what we were looking for”

The Hotel is in great shape. This Hotel is a step nicer than the older hotels on Sanible, so it is a fine trade off for having to have to drive across the bridge. It is a full functioning resort with many activities to choose from. Every thing from Boat trips, to tennis courts, to activiy programs and a rec. room for the kids. You will get more from this hotel than the others on Sanible Island, but understand that you will have to drive over the bridge to get to the beach. The excellent staff and the accomodations make it well worth it. I would do it all over again in a heart beat.

My boyfriend and I went to Sanibel for my cousins wedding the weekend of April 18th, 2009. What a nice relaxing place! The resort was very large and had several different buildings all with their own pool and hot tub. The continental breakfast was perfect every morning. The gym and spa were very nice and spacious. Drinks at the tiki bar at the main hotel are a good size vs the ones at the main bar and cost less. You are 10 minutes from Fort Myers which we enjoyed. The sun-sets are glorious! If you are interested in having a wedding there I would highly recommend it. The wedding was very enjoyable on the beach. We then moved to the balcony for the cocktail hour as the sun set. I have magnificent pictures. After the cocktail hour we were in the reception hall that was surrounded by windows. It was nicely done.
