We enjoyed plenty of time on the beach, and visited the nature preserve as well as some local shops and restaurants. It was a relaxing time.

“Gardens are delightful!!”

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We had a small maintenance issue, and it was resolved within the hour of the request! The location is stunning. The beach is right there, but the best part of the Moorings, from our point of view, was the gardens. We all enjoyed taking in the beautiful gardens and grounds. Around every corner was a new visual delight. So, our condo was clean, and comfy, the staff was great, the ammentities were wonderful- families were having a great time using the pool. We rented bikes right from the front desk. But the cherry on the sundae was how wonderful it was to be surrounded by so much natural beauty each day.

My husband and I came for our 25th anniversary. We chose the Sanibel Moorings by looking thru Expedia. I am so glad I took so much time researching places to stay. We really enjoyed the Resort. We had a parcial view of the Gulf which was very nice. The resort has a lot of gardens which is very pretty. The beach was only about 30 seconds from our door. The Condo we stayed in was very well equipt. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. We saw a Sting-Ray and a Star fish in the canal which was awesome. We hope to come back to Sanibel soon and we will be staying here again.

“Perfect Vacation Spot!”

My husband and I stayed at Sanibel Moorings for about 5 days and we had a wonderful time! First, the room (with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room and outdoor terrace/balcony) seemed a bit dark but then we truly appreciated it as it kept the room cool during the day and night (very much needed with the outside temperatures). We loved the access to the beach (right outside the resort, so about 1min to walk) and staff as well as other guests were extremely friendly and nice. The only two cons we could find - when you run out of their supplies (e.g. toilet paper) you should go and buy it yourself/do your own laundry. I think the reason behind that is that many guests stay for an extensive period and they want to keep costs and environmental impact low. The other con is that no breakfast in included which did not bother us that much as we just kept food in the kitchen or used the opportunity to visit some of the great restaurants on the island. Summary - we really loved it and would love to come back some day!!!

“Wonderful Place on the Beach But Understand that:”

The office provides trash bags, hand soap, etc. for only one week. After that you must supply such things. You will be renting a condo that is privately owned by some own, but managed by the Sanibel Mooring office. Therefore all the condos are decorated differently. Other than that the place was wonderful. We stayed in number 731 and loved the location. The larger screened porch had a good view of the beach and the back screen porch faced the pool. The entire place was very low key and peaceful.

“Wonderful- relaxing vacation-definately would return”

I have to say our stay at the Moorings Condo Resort was one of the most enjoyable, relaxing vacations my husband and I have had in a long time. We reserved a one bedroom on the canal side and it was very nice and quiet, but we decided to upgrade our room to a two bedroom oceanfront. It was beautiful with two balconies, a washer and dryer and a kitchen that was loaded with just about everything you could possibly need. Very nice & accomodating staff. Beautiful beach - the resort supplies beach chairs and umbrellas for you The island is so laid back and relaxing with some shopping ,restaurants and golf , yet if you wanted to go to Fort Myers and Naples it was only a short drive. We absolutely LOVED it and would like to return. We HIGHLY recommend the Moorings.

“Very beautiful, comfortable setting”

One of the best places we felt that we could've stayed at for our vacation. Great location close to the beach and nice pool. Great amenities from dvd library to rental bikes. We also enjoyed the scenery found on the grounds- beautiful tropical trees and flowers!

Why would you not want to stay here? On the beach, paradise island, with all the comforts of home right there in the room, perfect!
