Charming

Pros: Loved the complimentary breakfast basket in the frig!
Cons: Light sleepers -- make sure you get a room on 2nd floor because decking is rickety and loud when people above you are walking to their room.
Location: Eastern end of Sanibel just minutes from Causeway. Great location during peak times because you avoid the traffic on the main drag.
I actually own a second home on Sanibel and have never stayed in a motel on the island before so I can't compare it to others. It was charming in a slightly rundown way but overall it exceeded my expectations.. The room was very comfortable with quality linens and sumptuous towels. The bathroom had a granite countertop yet the tub needed to be replaced. What impressed me the most was what I found inside the room frig -- a basket of breakfast foods for two. So cute!! Location on eastern end of island is very convenient -- just minutes from Causeway -- and beach is just steps away.

Nice rooms, very well located on the beach. Warm heated pool. Rooms very clean. Breakfast is not up to much but t is close to the Lighthouse Cafe where the food is excellent. Would certainly stay there again if we are back in the area. Did not use the free bikes but think this is a good idea and would be great for families.

Beatiful location, right on the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas set up on beach every morning. Helpful easygoing staff. Facililities themselves are showing their age but still pleasant and comfortable.

Pros: Old style Florida, small, cozy,on the beach...
Location: Perfect, on the beach, close to restaurants and shops.
So relaxing...this is a small complex with old Florida style. The renovated rooms are comfortable and classy. Beautiful ground, very well kept and view of the beach. Mornings you just walk to the beach; chairs and umbrella awaits you. Had the pleasure to watch dolphins swim very close to shore everyday...The beach is simply divine. For people who are seeking a relaxing, simple, beautiful place to stay by the beach, this place is for you. It is also very well located. And if you feel like getting out and exploring the island, bicycles are available for you. Just had a wonderful time and would go back anytime. Oh...and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Perfect place to explore the beach and relax

Pros: Location to the beach and relative privacy
Their beach chair and shade umbrellas did the job. Pool was warm and inviting. Best internet speed of the trip. Front office staff was friendly and professional. It was a last minute choice for us and we weren't disappointed.

Great view of the ocean from your front door.

Pros: The view of the palm trees and the beach. Chairs and umbrellas set up on the beach for their guests.
Cons: Lack of dishes, few screens, for windows, none on sliding door. No eating table on deck.
Location: Seaside Inn and Cottages (we had cottage) on Sanibel Island, FL. Beautiful view.
The grounds and view was superb. Loved the cottage we had. However, I was disappointed with the lack of supplies available for that type of rental property. The coffee make was an old push on off type with a rusted hot plate. Could spend $30.00 on a auto set coffee maker with a timer. The toasters back was falling off. No large bowls to make a salad in. Very limited utensils. Community grills out side were rusty and falling apart. We were told they had beach towels and did not need to bring any. They were not beach towels, and were smaller than your normal shower towel. The sliding door did not have a screen door and some of the windows were also missing screens. it was 60-65 at night and was nice to sit with the windows an doors open, but could not open them all. Also would have been nice to have a table on the deck to be able to eat breakfest and dinner at. beautiful view and sunrise breakfest would have been awesome.

small for family of 4

Pros: location
Cons: size of room
great location and looks really pretty but rooms really small for family of 4. Kitchen facilities really poor small and cramped no stove in guestroom that we booked despite photo on website showing one, only a microwave which was awkward to use but great gas bbq available outside.

Nice place to stay

We rented the ocean view cottage for approx 13 days with intentions of cooking in. Only 2 out of the 4 burners worked on the stove with no real pots and pans to cook in either. Also, we wanted the room cleaned only 3 times during our stay. The staff never left us fresh towels or even trash bags. Then when I wanted it cleaned, it would not get cleaned. Other than that, it was a nice quiet place to stay.
