“Very relaxing, beautiful property.”

My friend and I were very happy and impressed with this property. Pool area was relaxing and very clean. Our room was great with an amazing view of the gulf, we were on the north end of the island. It was a slow time, right after New Year, so there were no crowds, awesome. Harborside Restaurant is also very nice, excellent service but is was almost empty. We has perfect weather which certainly helps this review.

“Loved Captiva Island and the South Seas Island Resort”

We looked for a place with a full kitchen, because of food allergies, and good location. The South Seas Resort was a good choice for us. We stayed in the Tennis Villas. The beach was just a short walk away. There was a pool at our building. I would have to give the cleaning staff high marks because they followed my instructions. We enjoyed the facilities and our room very much. The only thing I would suggest is to buy a case of water bottles before you come to the island. The water there seems to have a slight sulphur smell and taste.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. If beaches, birds and other wild life is what you looking for- it is the best. The prices of the eating places and food stores on the Resort territory are way too high. There are basically no entertainments or anything to do after dark

“Paradise in Florida!”

Was there for our 20th wedding anniversary. Beautiful grounds. Tons of restaurants, pools and things to do. We rented the bikes and rode from end to end of the resort (approx 2 1/2 miles). The beaches were clean and white. Loved having towels, umbrellas and chairs available right on the beach.

Had a great time. It was a beautiful location. It was chilly when we went but still relaxing. The restraunts closed early on the island, around 9, but I would still go back.

“Captiva Dream”

My girlfriend and I wanted to getaway for a few days but wanted something close to Tampa. I wanted somewhere that was romantic and everything we could possibly need was in one location. I was also recovering from knee surgery so we did not want to do a lot of walking. I chose South Seas Island Resort after reading some online information. The fact you could rent golf carts was a plus since I was not able to do a lot of walking. I was a little disappointed that there was a $6 toll to get on the island since that meant if we wanted to explore we would have to pay $6 each time we left to get back on the island. We arrived at the resort a little early and were told that the room was not ready. The resort was huge so we killed time looking around. Upon check-in of the room we were both pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the room was. The room was better than described in the room description and the view of the bay was incredible. I strongly suggest that you pay a little more and request the bayside villa. The resort was beautiful and there is plenty to do. The food on the resort is very a little pricey as would be expected but some of the places off property we were a little scared to try. The second day it rained really badly the entire day but we rented a golf cart and went exploring which was a blast. The beaches were beautiful and you could spend an entire week exploring. We had a great time and I would recommend this place to everyone who wanted to getaway and relax.
