“Going Back”
Nice resort with a great location for Beach and resturants, bars too!
“Alot of fun!”
The hotel is undergoing renovations and some of the rooms still need updating but the hotel staff is amazing, the pools are fabulous and the grounds are beautiful. We had an amazing stay and can't wait to go back. The Tiki Bar has live music every night and is alot of fun. The hotel is close to absolutely everything in Fort Myers, you can walk to everything within a few minutes. Lots of night life, restaurants and of course the beautiful beaches.
“Very not impressed”
First of all, this hotel's web site is extremely deceptive. It shows what appears to be a very modern, up-to-date resort with lots of amenities when in fact it is an OLD hotel that has tired and extremely small rooms. There was a lack of electrical outlets and they were 2 prong plugs so you could only plug a laptop in in the tiny bathroom or equally small kitchenette (2 steps from the sink & stove to the bed) not to mention almost tripping over the 1 chair & 2-person table when you entered the door. Booth pools were small and sparsley equiped. The outdoor cooking area consisted of a "park style" charcoal grill. At the time, construction was underway for what was supposed to be new bathrooms for the Tiki Bar. Believe me, this was needed. Current usable was 2 shabby unisex rooms each with 1 worn out commode and sink. As for their nightly entertainment, mostly too loud and I've heard better from karoke night than what they were paying for. Also, on a nightly basis, the bar was overrun with obnoxious drunk locals taking up seats and parking that should have been for the paying guest. The parking areas were also small, most spaced would not hold more than a compact car and was of earth & shell compact complete with lots of mud holes when it rained. Comfort-NONE! I have stayed in some poor motels out of necessity, but I cannot remember when I have tried to sleep on a harder mattres and equally hard and uncomfortable pillows. Choose wisely.
“Worst room”
The Lighthouse Inn's location/grounds were very nice, but our room had to be the worst in the place, and it was suppose to be an upgrade. I don't know what room it could have been upgraded from. Our room, a suite, faced the parking lot and the bridge. So, all night we heard the traffic. Our deck faced the next building. A large blue awning from that building was next to our deck, and I could rest a drink on it. The building also had a hugh sign over awning that said HOTEL, so hugh it could be see from the bridge. The awning partially covered the entrance to the laundry room, noisey and strong smell of bleach. At the end of deck was the Tiki Hut and public bathrooms. It was karioke night, music was loud. But at least the music drowned out the large air-conditioning machine that hummed and growled all night outside the bedroom wall. When the music stopped, the AC unit was so loud, I left the bedroom to sleep on the couch. That's when cleanup for the Tiki Hut started, bags of bottles dragged between the two buildings and tossed onto golf carts. I could see this from closed deck blinds because of missing slats! Anyone could see into our room. There was also something that made deafening noises behind door next to fridge a few times. I didn't expect anything fancy, just a nice place to stay and sleep at night. We booked for 4 nights, stayed one, because they could not get us another room. I wished we could have stayed in what looked like really nice rooms. Do not stay in Rm.142.
“the action spot”
Great location to party and play
“Loved it.”
Lovely stay.
“Great Hotel”
We very much enjoyed our stay the rooms were clean and nice the staff was nice and helpfull the Tiki bar was lots of fun the bar tender Jeff was awesome
“Excellent location and refreshingly surprised for the price. Great value”
The hotel is across the street from the center point of the island and the beach. It is close to everything, most things being within walking distance. It is a very unique structure, being made up of several "cabana" styled buildings linked together. I have stayed in many places that cost much more than this and weren't this good. It is not a 5 star hotel by any means but if you want a good comfortable and clean place to stay that is convenient to everything, this is it.
“Will never stay there again”
The hotel is under construction, we didn't know that until we arrived, our room was the furthest from the lobby, the phone didn't work in the work so we had to use our cell phone to contact the front desk , they said the phone was out due to the construction, now we don't usually the hotel phones, but would be nice to have in case of emergency. There was no WIFI as advertised and when calling the front desk bout that ,again using our cell phone, the man at the front desk gave us a code and hung up, we called back again when the code didn't work and the guy was rude, repeated the same code and then he hung up. The room was grungy looking, and mismatched in decor. We are so disappointed in the dive. The construction also made it nearly impossible to find parking.
“Great Deal/Great Location”
Quick trip, looking for a cheap hotel. Spent a little more than I would have liked but was definitely well worth it!! Would go back and stay much longer next time...

Fort Myers Beach, Florida, United States of America: Decidedly less ritzy than other Florida seaside towns, Fort Myers Beach is a favorite destination for families. Area singles, too, also pass the time here, especially at Lynn Hall Memorial Park and at Time Squares bars, restaurants, and shops. Casino gambling is mostly illegal in Florida; a Fort Myers Beach-based casino cruise flouts this ban by floating just beyond the long arm of the law.
