Excellent spot for family with children. We were there with my 2 grandchildren. Beach was just a few steps from our room.

This was our first trip to Florida. I found this Inn on Expedia and thought it sounded perfect. Well it was perfect. We both needed rest and relaxation, warm ocean water, in short a vacation. West Wind Inn was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 nights. We tried a few different restaurants and they were all great, including the one at West Wind. I will go back to Sanibel Island in a heartbeat and would stay again at West Wind Inn.

“Paradise in Sanibel”

We had the privelege of staying at the West Inn Hotel. This hotel is magnificent. Clean, beautiful. The pool, the location, the people, the view, the beach, the room, all were better than we hoped for. The management staff, and all employees were warm, caring, and helpful. “Enjoyable days in Sanibel”

Our room was ready when we arrived. We requested a gulfview room and the view could not have been better. We went mid week in late October and it was very quiet (just the way we wanted).We had heard about crowded conditions on Sanibel during peak times and didn't know what to expect. We practically had the place to ourselves, but full friendly service was still available. Just steps from the beach and located in the middle of the island away from the main town area. We rode bicycles each day to either end of the island and rode through Ding Darling Reserve where we went kayaking. Bikes were available for rent at the hotel. It would have been nice if they were included like some other hotels, but the reasonable rate for the stay balanced it out.

We had a wonderful time. The hotel location was great. Was a short walk across the lawn to the beach. Beautiful setting ,great pool and the staff was really there to help. Rooms were clean and nice. We ate dinner at there restaurant had a great meal.Will definately will stay there again.

“Old Style Florida West Coast”

Part of the pleasure of staying on the West Coast of Florida is the easy pace of living and the other part is the attitude of the inhabitants. I watched at check in while 2 different families were having trouble finding a place to stay and the registration staff made calls to get them rooms. Not only that but they said they would hold their last rooms( smaller than needed) if the two groups were not happy with the accomidations that they found. Cozy hotel, plan to go back soon. Registration closes at 5 PM.
