When I arrived I was immediately greeted by the proprietor of the hotel. He walked me to my room while giving me the historical background of the hotel. I believe my room was one of the smaller ones. They made good use of the available space and the room had a nice refrigerator . I had a double bed and I was impressed by the bed linens which were high quality. The room was cooled by a high quality window unit which provided for a very comfortable sleep.
This is not a 5 star hotel in the classic sense. However, I rated it high because I felt the owners do the little things to provide a nice experience with the limitations a historic property like this can have. I will stay here again.
