The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was great too. Just enough for a one night stop over.

Old hotel, convenient location

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Price
Location: Wal-Mart, Steak House, Dairy Queen. Avoid the Pizza Hut.
This hotel tries, but it is old. Handicapped bathroom facilities are adequate, but floor is slippery. Breakfast bar is OK but moving around space is tight. Worst problem is that the whole first floor smells like cat pee!

Didn't plan on staying in Ft. Stockton

Room was clean but the bathroom was so run down. Good enough for a basic sleep over.

Handicapped facilities could be a lot better. Shower floor was too slippery.

Russel downer on the front desk.....

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: beds comfy room and bathroom clean
Cons: wake up call for Russel......no I'm serious....I mean a WAKE UP CALL.....
Location: n/a
Our confirmed arrival was late (midnight) but the room was booked. Russel did check with us on smoking/non as Expedia had booked smoking when we actually are non smokers. That was his good point. His not good point was when we called at midnight to ask for help getting from the airport to the hotel. No shuttle - ok no problem - perhaps find us a taxi? No taxis in town " well you are arriving kinda late" - ok so be creative and help us find a way to get the 1.5 miles to your hotel: "sho, wow, I just don't know how to help you!" Next morning - same request - get us back to the airport please: "not sure how I can help you" - " this is a one horse kinda town" to which I answered - "You know, Russel, one horse will do fine if nothing else is available!" Seriously....a hotel front desk that cannot arrange a taxi or a ride or any help finding one!?!?!?! Call a neighboring hotel for help, call friend to drive us, call a staff member, just don't say; " Jeez I don't know." Should have stayed at the Hampton Inn.

Dallas to Big Bend national park

Posted Mar 1, 2015 on Hotels
I stayed here on my way from Dallas to Big Bend national park. Got a good night sleep and was rested for the drive into Big Bend. The rate was reasonable compared to the competition.

Over priced, but right off I-10

Older hotel, rooms partially updated. Rooms could be cleaner, lobby and breakfast area are clean. Breakfast alright, nothing special. Over priced for what you get.Town has historic areas to visit while there.
