Great location and you can't beat the price.

Pros: The staff was friendly, the room was inexpensive, and the hotel was easy to access.
Cons: The fitness room was in a storage closet. I tried to use the exercise bike and the elliptical and both had no power. That was disappointing.
Location: We were in town for the 30A Festival, however, there are attractions literally across the street from the hotel!
As others have indicated, it's not much to look at from the outside, but the room was comfortable, clean, and surprisingly quiet, which we weren't necessarily expecting. The amenities in the room seemed a little out of date, like a microwave with dials, but everything worked well and suited our needs. We stayed three nights and enjoyed the experience.

Location: Public parks, restaurants, fishing pier, public beaches
The stay at Emerald Inn was an enjoyable experience for my wife and myself. The location is near the attractions in which we were interested. The room was spacious, and the price was very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised to see the complimentary breakfast available into late morning. The staff were all pleasant, and did not mind my filling my coffee mugs to carry back to the room for my wife and I. The wait for the elevator was, at times, long due to housekeeping staff holding the door open with their cleaning cart. There was a leak outside, near the ice machine and coke machines that had a bad odor, discouraging any potential desire to use those machines. Parking was adequate, and near the elevator. I was pleasantly surprised to see the large number of public parks close by and in the area, suitable for picnicing and fishing. We will definitely consider the Emerald Inn in the future.

The temperature was not comfortable

We didn't sleep well because every 30 minutes it was either too cold or too hot but the staff was excellent and the room was clean.

You get what you paid for....and more.

Pros: The staff; the rooms.
Cons: Add just a bit more to the breakfast menu. Decaff for those of us who can't have caffeine; scrambled eggs.
Location: Location is perfect! Most within walking distance. Drove about 5 miles for arcade and go-cart racing. In the middle of EVERYTHING!
I was hesitant when I booked; seemed almost too good to be true. But it lived up to, and exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a great place to stay, this is it! The staff was friendly and helpful at all times; the rooms were clean; the location was PERFECT! Within walking distance of the pier, Boardwalk and the beach! Shopping close by. Museums and Gulfarium close. ANTIQUE STORES ladies! We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas experience. Thank you Emerald Coast Inns and Suites!

Great value for the price

Posted Dec 27, 2014
Pros: Price and location
Cons: Nothing
Location: Location is great with Gulf sand beaches across the street, along with, fishing pier, restaurants, and the Gulfarium Aquarium and aquatic shows.
Motel is older, but is furnished with new, modern, stylish furnishings. The staff was pleasant and helpful, especially since they were working on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The continental breakfast was better than average. The room was clean and fresh smelling.

Serviceable

Room was clean. Breakfast was terrible. No fresh fruit in Florida? Gym was a joke. A treadmill, broken bike and wobble eliptical in a storage room... Come on!
