Clean/renovated with a short walk to the beachPosted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: The location is in a somewhat central location on highway 98. The walk to the beach is short and easily accessible.
Cons: More protein (non-pork) choices for the free breakfast but that's no deal-breaker.
Location: Right on highway 98, close to the beach, across the street from The Track and several restaurants.
This hotel is essentially in the middle of a lot of attractions/popular restaurants in the Destin area. Being right off of Highway 98, you will not have trouble getting around and you will not have to go far to find something to do. From our time checking in to checking out, the staff was very courteous and helpful. I had no issues at all and we were always greeted warmly. Upon our arrival, the front-desk receptionist gave us advice on things to do, where to eat and places we should check out. Overall, I found the staff to be personable. The hotel was recently renovated and comfortable/modern for the price. While staying in the double queen standard room, the accomodations were great! This room type in particular comes with flat screen tv (with hdmi ports), fridge (awesome to store water/leftovers, a microwave (with extra electrical outlets on the front), an iron, an alarm clock, etc. This made the stay very cozy and convenient. The business center and fitness room is open 24 hours which was awesome! The free breakfast was essentially the same as a lot of hotels. They do feature two hot dishes everyday, oatmeal, waffle stations, cereal, assorted bagels/pasteries, juice, a coffee and tea station, yogurt and fresh fruit. It was a step up from continental offerings but we appreciated the spread. All in all I'd stay here again when we go back to Destin. I recommend this hotel to those looking for an overall great value, great location, and great accommodations.

Destin HamptonPosted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: Very pretty inside and out.
Cons: Mattress is horrible hard as a rock. Need to add microwave and small fridge to all rooms.
Overall my visit was great. The hotel is very nice. Like most Hampton's though it would be nice to have a small refrigerator and microwave. The bed was hard as a rock.

Hampton Inn stayPosted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: The room was everything the picture on the internet displayed. Roomy, very clean, nice decor, and the breakfast bar had a variety of choices.
Cons: There was only one stand to place luggage upon, and it was a little unsteady. We had 3 persons, needed 2 more stands.
Location: Back Porch Restaurant very convenient, a 3 minute walk. Parking areas surround the building , can get close to rooms.
A short walk to beach access, nice workout area, washer, dryer, and can check out very good beach towels that can be returned and not have wet towels in the rooms.

NicePosted Sep 15, 2014
Location: Beach, fishing, and food.
I enjoyed the hotel. The staff was friendly and generally everything was clean. My only issue was the shower not being totally clean. There was hair remaining from the previous occupant (GROSS!). But everything else was fine. Great location! But avoid taking a taxi if you can because the cheapest fair is $38 to the airport.

convenient for our needsPosted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: excellent staff. good food
Cons: needs better temperature control over individual rooms
Location: close the beach numerous places to eat lots to do
Our daughter was staying in a local condo so it was close for us to get to her. The room was hard to control temperature(a little warmer than we wanted). Overall it was an enjoyable experience and we would return if needed. GPS did not take us to the right location.

We'll be back....Posted Sep 2, 2014
This will definitely be our hotel of choice for future stays in Destin. Management and staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is wonderful, not right on the beach but a hop, skip and a jump to the beautiful beaches of Destin and the wonderful Back Porch restaurant. Our vacation was wonderful and the hotel was a part of the wonder. Stay here I am sure you will be very pleased.

One of the best values in Destin!Posted Aug 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
First, this is a brand new hotel, and it shows. Cleanliness everywhere in the hotel is top notch. My room was spotless, to include the bath/shower. The room was slightly small (two queen standard), but that is to be expected given what your paying to stay right across from the beach in Destin. The entry to the hotel has a very nice sitting area, and the breakfast area is upscale for a 3 star hotel, and the breakfast was great. (full hot buffet.) The pool area/courtyard area is recently finished and the kids will love it, and the parents will enjoy the romantic feel at night with music playing in the background. For exercise enthusiasts, this hotel has very nice gym equipment, and you'll have a view of the gulf from the cardio machines. This gym rivals 4/5 star hotels. While you are not on the beach, you will be directly across the street from it. Our family of four walked onto the beach within two minutes, entering the beach through a public access trail on the right side of the Back Porch Restaurant, which is nearly directly across the street from this hotel, and sits on the beach.
