Way to much money spent for that hotel

Posted May 26, 2015
First of all it was so crowded because of the Memorial day which I understood but paying over 400 usd/ nigth for that hotel was waste of money. Also even though we were staying in the hotel we had to pay for 45 Usd/day for beach umbrella and seats which was not mentioned anywhere in expedia!

Nice hotel on the beach

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: It was nice having a beach bar with other quick and affordable eating options, that did not require leaving the comfort of our beach chairs.
Cons: Housekeeping services need improvement.
Location: Good restaurants and shopping nearby if you choose to leave the beautiful beach.
Overall good hotel for Sandestin Beach. The only disappointment was the housekeeping staff who never changed out our water glasses or refilled the coffee supplies during the 3 day stay. The cleanliness of the room was lacking. We had to call for a change of towels and for extra shampoo and lotions - all things that should have been replenished daily. The lobby staff and in other areas of the hotel were excellent.

The Hilton Sandestin Resort was a wonderful destination. We stayed on the 14th floor, beach front, suite. The spacious room had a wonderful view we really enjoyed seeing the dolfin from the balcony each morinig. The reaturants were good but $$$. Don't bother with Segars it's all about the show!! Hard to believe they can charge 12$ for potatoes. The weekend got busy w guests and private parties, they closed a lot of the pool deck areas, even tho you are charged 25$ resort charge each day. The pool area was kind of sterile no music or hospitality, had to find waitstaff to order a drink. The sand and water was over the top tho!!

probably last trip with mom who has dementia.

Wanted to take my mom some where she could really be pampered. Hilton Sandestin really fit the bill. I was able to get her and her wheelchair on the beach so she could get her toes in the sand and our spa day was phenomenal! She's never done that before.

Nice hotel with beautiful beach view.

Posted Apr 16, 2015
We had a problem when we first got there with a rude employee who gave us a terrible room on first floor next to noisy elevator and horrible view of parking lot but as soon as we complained to manager he was incredibly helpful, caring, friendly and super nice. He soon moved us to a great room with a beautiful view of the beach. He kept asking us if we needed anything else and made sure we felt at home. The rest of the staff was really great as well. Overall it was a good experience.

Nice hotel. The beach is gorgeous. Very corporate.

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: convenience and location to the beach and all the amenities.
Cons: Needs a bit more relaxed feeling. The staff seemed overly rehearsed and repetitive. Lacks soul there.
Location: Get away from the basic tourists and corporate chains and go down the 30A for good quality food, mom and pops.
This was a nice hotel. Typical Hilton, very corporate but had every amenity at your convenience. It was packed with obnoxious teens as we went the first week of April (beware) and they took over the hotel and beach area. Apparently they do that all up and down the 30A that time of year. One note: I think people should not be allowed to mark their spot at the pool with a towel before coming down to the pool. As it made the pool very inconvenient and unpleasant. It takes away from the relaxed, easy going feeling you want at the beach. Having to get up at 7 am to take a towel down to the pool and hope not all the chairs have been taken is annoying. The breakfast and food was good and convenient. Definitely wouldn't say peak season is relaxing there as it is a VERY busy place. I wouldn't stay there again if I had another option just because of how corporate and structured it felt. Otherwise probably the best hotel around as there aren't that many close to the water

Great family vacation

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Location, beach access, room style, pool towels
Cons: Housekeeping
Deluxe Jr Suite was perfect for our family of 5. Everyone got a bed and plenty of room for all the beach stuff. Location is incredible. Beach perfect. Housekeeping was the only thing lacking. Late to clean room every day and nonresponsive when we asked for down bedding to be removed. Also world's smallest trash cans that made no sense in a family suite with fridge and microwave. Always had garbage collecting around the can.
