Would not recommend!!Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Close to the beach.
Paper thin walls. You can hear everybody and everything. Feels just like a college dorm room. The halls are dirty(stained walls and carpet) and have a foul smell.

What a meat market, live not far away, booked last minute 2 night quick stay, you see the word "Resort" so we take now beach chairs, towels. Had to go buy towels, rented beach chairs for $40, most any other place in Destin is $25 for chairs and umbrella. They had the gall to charge a $126 resort fee and then want $10 per night for internet access, and good luck finding any services or a front desk to help you. This place is a tourist trap, plain and simple, packs in the out of towners that do not know better then provides 1 restaurant with premium pricing. Most beaches in Destin are sparsely populated with beach goers, this place was packed to the gills. We ended up going to other beaches in the area we're familiar with, could have stayed in a Comfort in for $129 and done that.

Our stay at LuauPosted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was clean and comfy. The kitchen was a little small and there was no one on property in case of a need for amenities but all and all we enjoyed the stay. I'd stay again.

A Beautiful ParadisePosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: The condominium where we stayed was acceptable but would have rather been in the main hotel.
Cons: Maid service was late in the afternoon, if at all! Not very efficient.
Location: Bay side with shuttle bus has golf, shoppes and restaurants! Lots to do!
The facility with the main hotel and pools and beach were lovely -- but very far to walk from the condominiums where we were obliged to stay because of an over crowd in the main hotel. We were there for my niece's wedding. The rehearsal and dinner were in the hotel and the reception inside after the lovely wedding on the beach. The food was delicious and all of the staff most accommodating. Would definitely come back and hope you would put us on your mailing list for future rental specials -- it was a long drive from Pennsylvania, but well worth it!

Noise and powerPosted Oct 16, 2013
Our main issue was that condos were under significant construction- loud drilling all day long, several power outages while we were there (only there 2 days). Our issue is that we were not warned about any of this in advance and based on size of construction project, it was obviously scheduled maintenance - once we were there, it was too late to find another place- I'm sure that is what resort was counting on. Just felt like we should have been given an option if we wanted to vacation along side construction workers and heavy equipment

Great stay in DestinPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The facilities were great, very comfortable and clean. Housekeeping came every day, very short walk to beach (2-3 minutes), and great ambiance. Hotel service was bad...receptionist who checked me in directed me to the wrong tower when we arrived (very irritating after a long, tiring drive) and another staff member provided completely inaccurate information about the availability of a quarter/coin machine in the laundry room. Besides the poor knowledge/service of staff members, I was very pleased with the stay and would stay there again.

If you book online, you will still be charged a resort fee and local taxes upon arrival, so keep that in mind when you are comparing prices.
