“Resortquest Majestic Sun honeymoon”

When my wife and I walked into our room on the 10th floor all we could say was WOW! The room was spotless and the view was remarkable, we could not have picked a better place for our honeymoon!

“Awesome condo!”

The Majestic Sun is a great place to stay. We rented a 2-bedroom condo for 5 nights. Condo was spotless and had virtually brand new appliances including washer/dryer. Nice decor. Breathtaking seaviews - sleeping to the sound of ocean waves is incredible ! Pools were great and they also provide free beach umbrella and chairs. Highly recommended, will definitely return !

“We ended up staying in Beach Retreat instead”

Turns out that Majestic Sun was full. When we got there they gave us a condo in Beach Retreat. This condo had a better location and was very comfortable. It was also bigger than the one we originally rented. We were happy overall. The condo itself (these condos have private owners) was very comfortable. However, it was clear that it desperately needed some up keeping (paint, cleaning of sofas and rugs) and there were a few details that would have made our stay more pleasant. For example, if all the renters have to buy beach umbrellas and chairs, why don't they leave some in the condo? (or pay the fee to give the renters access to the beach chairs and umbrellas - which are available for renters whose condo owners pay a fee). This area of Destin/Beaches of South Walton was very nice with a lot of shops, chain Restaurants and Supermarkets at short driving distance. The beach was really nice. One of the best beaches I have seen in the continental US. I plan on going back. Would be nice if we could choose the specific condo you want to rent via Expedia.

“Spring Break 2012”

We went for spring break and had a great time. There were 5 females sharing a one bedroom condo with the bunks in the hall. The girls loved the bunks and the 2 baths came in very handy. What we also enjoyed was the close proximity to the beach. It was very easy to get to the beach from where we stayed. The view from the balcony was amazing! Would recomend it for families or anyone really.

“Disappointed”

You could tell younger people (of the "party" age) had stayed here. The room had a musty smell. Couches could use a cleaning - they also had a musty smell. I also had to pay a $128 upfront cleaning fee for the room to be cleaned after I checked out - it could have used a little more attention before I checked in. The area around the washer/dryer was very dirty. I booked a king and two double beds and got a king and 1 double and a fold out couch. Was very dissappointed with that. The matress on the king bed in the master bedroom was worn out. The room was adequate, but nothing fancy for the price I paid. No staff on site, no one in the lobby. Anybody could walk in. Didn't feel super safe letting the kids (teenage) wonder. Probably would not book here again.

“The Condo was O.K.”

The web site misleads you to believe you are right on the beach, when in reality there is a very busy road in front it. It is busy & noisy. Make sure you don't get a room across from the elevator. There are no resturants or bars on the property.
