“Serene by the Bay”

The room was huge - and very nice. The view of the bay was serene and peaceful. The Links golf course, right next door, is very convenient and a great course. I would stay here again.

Please come here, esp if you have a stressful job or school situation and need a few days away. You really dont have to leave the resort, b/c they have shops, clubs, restaurants within the huge complex, especially on the bayside. But if you do, you are only minutes away from the outlet mall and other places to eat/things to do. We stayed in Luau and loved it. Make sure to request a beachside view when you check in and it will be probably be free of charge-ours was!

My family and I have just started going to Destin for family vacations. I had been there previously during spring breaks, but now have started with the family vacations now that I have a child. The first few times we stayed at the Hilton in Sandestin and that was mainly for the location and indoor pool for my son. This time we decided we would try a condo in Sandestin. We wanted to be close to the beach so we decided on the Luau with one bedroom and a full kitchen. The room far exceeded our expectations. I don't think there is a daily room service to do the linens and make your bed, but there was a washer and dryer so that point was moot. The room was very clean and had a great view of the resort and surrounding area. It also had all the kitchen utensils and cookware you need. Just remember to bring dish detergent and a sponge if you plan on being there more than a day. Overall a great place to be with a family. You can make breakfast or lunch in your room to give the little ones a break from the sun and there is plenty of room in the condo to relax after a long day at the beach or shopping. There is also access to a salt water pool. If you are looking for a vacation where all your needs are taken care of then this probably isn't the place for you. If you don't mind doing dishes and your laundry every once in a while this would be a great choice.

Our stay at the Sandestin resort was very relaxing and worry free. Our check-in was smooth and fast,so we were able to get right down to the reason we were there. To have fun. Thanks Expedia and Sandestin for a great week. We would definately recommend this place to anyone who just wants to relax and enjoy a great place with something for everyone.

people were extremely nice. tv remote needed battery, was fixed immediately. newspaper, apples and oranges provided in morning. beach access and beach itself beautiful. pool area by beach very welcoming and great for view.. will definitely return.

“Great Location”

This hotel was great! It offered the luxury of the beach using the tram or a short car ride, but it also was conveniently located in the heart of restaurants and nightlife. The accommodations were perfect for 2, but a little cozy for 4. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would revisit the Pilot House in Baytowne Warf again!
