We were absolutely impressed with how accommodating the staff were - the appearance of our room - the amenities - everything! We would definitely go back to this hotel - and will recommend it to our friends.

The hotel was very clean, staff friendly, beds comfortable and we really liked the indoor pool. Breakfast was decent too. Would definitely recommend. Loved the the whole hotel was non-smoking and if you get the chance get a balcony room. It was nice having coffee and reading the paper on the balcony.

I'm in the customer service and quality assurance business. My experience with this hotel was entirely positive. It was easy to find. There was plenty of parking. The lobby and hotel rooms were lovely, comfortable, and very clean. My room was a third-floor balcony room overlooking the Parkway with a view of the water -- and yet, I couldn't hear a bit of traffic with the balcony door closed. And to top it all off: the attendant at the front desk was exceptional -- not just to me, but to everyone who came in the door as I sat in the lobby. I was very impressed; I wish I'd gotten her name to give her individual praise.

Overall the stay and room was great and for being in Destin, it was a great location. The only down point was the breakfast. The water for the oatmeal was cold and I was not impressed with the food.

My stay at Summerplace Inn was so great. When I first checked in I had an issue with my refrigerator not being cold, and I called the front desk attendant and within 1 minute she was up at my room fixing it. Very impressed with how quick and sweet she was. Too bad I can't remember her name. She had glasses and long brown hair. Then the room was clean, except for a sticky spot on the floor, but overall I loved the room. There was a microwave and refrigerator and coffee maker, which were perfect for my needs. Then the breakfast the next morning was so good, and there was even a waffle maker, which I ABSOLUTELY used! There were eggs, sausages, bagels, yogurt, muffins, waffle batter, and coffee and juice for breakfast. It was perfect!!! I called my mom right away and told her about the hotel. She tried to come up the same day, but it was completely booked. They had an indoor/outdoor pool with a jacuzzi. We didn't get to use them, but we had wanted to. All I can say is this: I have no idea why this hotel was given a low rating. I loved my stay and the attendants were SO friendly. It was so worth it! I cannot wait to come back with my 2 year old the next time. I can't say enough about this hotel. Just delightful!

Nice place if you don't want to spend much. Across the road is ocean like 5 min of walking.
