“Items were stolen from my room!”

I had a terrible experience at the Marriott Fort Wayne. I forgot to gather several clothing items from the closet when I checked out of the hotel, called immediately to notify staff to put my items aside for me to return and pick-up the next day, and discovered that they could not "find" my things. I spoke to staff on the telephone that day, and returned to speak to them in person as I headed out of town the following day. They seemed to maintain that several hundred dollars worth of clothing just vanished into thin air. They made no attempts to rectify the situation, simply dismissed me, the several hundred dollars I'd spent on my room for two nights, and the several hundred dollars of stolen items. I am extremely unhappy. If you want your stuff stolen and nothing done about it, you can spend a ton of money and stay here!

“Beautiful hotel. Lovely room.”

Our room was just lovely. Very nicely decorated, very nice bedding. Totally clean and comfortable. The pool was indoor and outdoor and open until midnight. The breakfast was available until 2pm and check out was at noon, so we could sleep in. We had a very nice stay.

“Nice pool, good eats, great sleep... All a trip ever needs.”

Marriot was great. There is dining close and great food in the hotel. Pool is awesome and spent several hours there. Room was great with almost no noise in the halls. Check-in was quick and easy as was Check-out. Recommend this place to anyone.

Area recommendations

We have been to Ft Wayne before to visit the Zoo which is absolutely great. Traveled there recently to see Disney on Ice and the facility was just minutes away from the Marriot. Fantastic place to go see shows. Highly recommend Ft Wayne and the Marriot to everyone.

“Smaller Room with Expedia vs. Direct Booking”

We stayed in the same hotel a year ago and had a much larger and nicer room. We went back because it was so comfortable and luxurious. This time felt like a cheaper motel. The bathroom was small this time, not even big enough for two people to stand in. That's what I get for saving a few bucks. The hot tub was not working when we went down. Otherwise, it's a nice place. Close to shopping and night clubs.

recommend getting breakfast with room. It was a wonderful breakfast buffet in the dining room.

ask for a room away from wedding reception areas on the weekends. Slightly loud music until 10 or 11 P.M. on Sat. night

“Great Place to Stay”

This is a great place to stay for business or pleasure. It has a great steak house restaurant as well as a piano bar on the premises. The center courtyard makes a great place for families/kids to gather, play etc. Kid friendly yet very quiet rooms. I recommend to get the breakfast included with your room, well worth the price.
