Nice hotel, very polite staff, walk to restaurantsPosted Dec 9, 2013
Pros: Clean, fresh room. Good breakfast....lots of choices: bacon and sausage, make-yourself waffles, hot oatmeal, fruit, etc. Towels provided at pool.
Cons: Indoor pool was a little cold, but I realize it is December. Pool depth was perfect for my small kids.
Location: Chili's, Macaroni Grill, Old South Pancake House. Very close to I30 freeway. Strip center shopping.
Everything was fine.

Room OverheatedPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Room and bathroom were spacious enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 boys.
Cons: Better service when a problem is reported.
Location: Good location for visiting relatives.
We spent 3 very uncomfortably warm nights in this room even though the outside temp was in 30's and 40's. Complained to the front desk; however, the temperature did not improve at all. We were never offered another room. My husband has decided he "hates" staying in hotel rooms. Guess we will have to stay home!

I'm even more sorry that it was not fixed during your 3 day stay, and that you didn't receive an update from my staff. Please allow us another opportunity to show you the level of service of which we are capable, on your next visit to Fort Worth. Sincerely, David M. General Manager

Reasonable rates for for what you getPosted Nov 12, 2013
Cons: Sausage could be cooked more at breakfast
Location: plenty of restaurants an shopping immediately in the parking lot, and across the street.
This hotel is located in a heavy traffic area. The staff was very nice. The accommodations are certainly adequate. ingress and egress can be challenging because of the traffic and construction nearby.

Convenient to TCUPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Location location location!!!
Cons: Sound proof....you can occasionally hear the train but fortunately for us it never happened at night
Location: Right off I-30, very close to TCU, shopping and restaurants. Super convenient to stockyards, downtown.
This hotel is fine for a quick weekend to TCU. There's nothing fancy about it but it is right next door to Old South Pancake House, a TCU hangout. It's also right across the street from a great shopping center and extremely close to several restaurants. The price is right and the place is clean with cheery staff.

Good choice on University Drive.Posted Sep 30, 2013
Location: Location is splendid. We especially enjoyed that we were 25 yards away from the extensive running/biking trail that goes alongside the bayou.
We stayed here several years ago before Marriott took over and revamped colors, furniture, and amenities including adding a hot breakfast. A nice upgrade for a formerly dowdy, aged feeling high-rise property. The staff also had a customer-first attitude during a most hectic time with hordes of purple clad TCU Frog fans descending for Parents Weekend and the SMU v. TCU football game Their helpful attitude was shown when we arrived Friday p.m. and were told, oops, we had had a reservation for Thursday not Friday. Wait a minute! We showed our Expedia print-out that clearly stated otherwise. We were given a bottle of water and made comfortable while management worked it out huddled over the computer, no small feat since the aforementioned TCU alums had basically booked up the hotel. We soon had a room, though. Being 5 minutes from TCU, the zoo, the arts museums, and a major mall, make this a go-to location for us whenever we venture out of West Texas for a taste of big city civilization and culture. Look for the outdoor food truck "court" just south of the hotel in the vacant lot on left. They serve up breakfast on Saturday mornings.

The hotel was okay. It was close to Harris Methodist and that is what we needed. The room was clean and the check in staff was very nice.

The only disappointment was the breakfast- ran out of food by 7;30- no oatmeal- no bacon (at least that's what I thought it was by the remnants. I was in a hurry and couldn't wait for refills.
