Excellent weekend get away for my husband and I.

Pros: Cleanliness and convenience. Great breakfast buffet too
Cons: Microwave in room
Location: Too much to list-rodeo,shopping and dining
Great experience. When the staff found out it was for our early anniversary they offered us each a complimentary drink and tickets to the rodeo.

Close to Stockyards

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Location in Stockyards if you are a tourist.
Cons: Needs a restaurant.
Location: Lots of touristy stuff, hat stores, Western clothing stores, Cowboy Pavilion, rides on longhorn cows.
This hotel is right in the historic Stockyard area of Fort Worth. But there is no restaurant. They have a 24 hour limited menu, no room service, so you can eat at the bar which is right next to the registration desk if you want. In the first room I was given, the TV didn't work and the telephone didn't work. The next room across the hall worked okay. Large rooms, table on wheels, was convenient. All in all, an okay experience. No room service and no real restaurant were big negatives for me.

Nice hotel close to the stockyard events and shops

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Roominess...the king bed was wonderful and the extra sitting area was nice.
Cons: Was really surprised to find no microwave in the room.
Location: Location was great for visiting the stockyards..I have a bad knee and have difficulty walking so we were near to things we wanted to see and do.
Great place to come back to when you are hot and tired from touring the stockyards and visiting the many shops in the area. We will be visiting both the stockyards and the Hyatt Place again.

Nice hotel with great location for sight-seeing

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Room sz. & sleeping accommodations were perfect for our group; the buffet breakfast was excellent, offering a lg. selection of both hot & cold choices
Cons: Better communication between hotel management & the vendors they do business with. A little extra care in informing patrons of unusual conditions.
Location: In the heart of FW Stockyards: great shops & restaurants; 2X daily cattle drive; Cattlepen Maze; Billy Bob's; near cultural area & also FW Mint (FBEP)
Overall the hotel was very nice ... our room with the two queen beds and sofa-bed was perfect for our group which included 2 adults and 4 children. While the room came with a small fridge, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, etc., we were a little surprised that it did not include a microwave. Many hotels that do not carry the status of Hyatt do include microwave ovens. This disrupted our plans a little, but we made other arrangements that sufficed nicely. One thing that marred our stay a little happened as we were preparing to leave. The parking lot stripes, curbs & ramps (handicapped; rolling luggage) were being repainted. While striping in the parking lot & access roads were partially marked by cones, the red paint on the curbs & ramps were not ... no cones or signs indicating wet paint. My sister walked down and rolled her luggage across a ramp, getting red paint on her shoes & luggage. When she complained to the vendors performing the jobs, they just shrugged her off, even making snide remarks and laughing at her frustration. (My niece & I both heard them first hand.) One of the vendors indicated that it was the hotel's responsibility to note the wet paint for their customers. When approached with what had happened, the manager on duty was apologetic about the incident and said the areas of wet paint would be marked to avoid the same thing happening to another patron. (I believe he thought -as we did- that the resp. of indicating wet paint was the vendors'.

Great location in Fort Worth Stockyards

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: Size of rooms, well appointed and nice work desk.
Cons: Breakfast area and experience. If they have a group in-house, staff up and replenish food more often.
Location: Middle of the Stockyards, surrounded by the Cowboy Museum, restaurants, food. convenient.
We chose this hotel for a very good value on Expedia. Not quite up to Hyatt's standards however. We booked two rooms, they did not have my collegues name or room booked and said they were full...but she had her confirmation with her showing the rooms and names so they did accommodate her. Staff were helpful however and very accommodating. Rooms were large, well appointed for a long stay type accommodation, HUGE flat screen TV. The only disappointing part was breakfast. They had a tour group in house. Most of the food was picked over and hot food was out, not all replenished. Room cramped, tables close together not really clean. Another guest said they had been there a week and were disappointed in the breakfast area. But the location is very good if you can find someplace else for breakfast.

Hotel was nice, a little pricey, but the location to everything ''Fort Worth Stockyard'' was priceless. Parked the car and never got back in it until we were ready to leave!
