Beautiful hotel with a fantastic staff!! We had originally booking our stay in Fortaleza at the Sierra did not like the service nor the facilities. The Vila Galé was fantastic and would recommend all to book a stay there.

The hotel was nice. Breakfast was nice. The restaurant on the beach was nice. Sadly I was very disappointed with the restaurant in the hotel. We had to wait a long time for the food and it was not as good.

Its an older property that's in need of a major upgrade. The rooms and hotel in general were just okay. R$6 for a bottle water in the room was pricey. Also, I am sure I booked a room with a partial sea view but when I arrived I was told that I hadn't booked one and after arguing a bit, I was given a "courtesy" upgrade. Totally unnecessary.

Close to the beach
It was wonderful walking into the lobby, and realizing we were going to be staying here. The food was excellent, the service was great and apart from a couple minor bumps this was easily the most enjoyable experience I've ever had at a hotel. Loved the city of Fortaleza as well.

Hotel close to the beach. Kind staff but less efficient, no luggage carried. Old furniture a bit degraded. Catched some cockroaches in room. Wireless available only for one user. Good food but less cared, cakes exposed to flies. In short, is an hotel for a pleasant stay at beach without waiting to have some comfort details.

Good experience overall. Service is not quite up to US standards, but this hotel is one of the better ones we have stayed at in Brazil. Food was above average in the restaurant and in the three private banquets we attended.

Across the street from a beautiful beach
Would have given it 5 starts if it had free internet in the rooms. Wi-Fi is free in the lobby and has a fee for the rooms (does not cost too much). But connection is spotty in the rooms. If you want beach location, it is great. Right across the street from a very nice beach. And they have beach chairs/umbrellas free for guests.

Perfect location and layout
I was traveling with my 17 year old son for World Cup and spent 3 nights at the Vila Gale. All in all it was a very good experience with a perfect location on Future Beach. The hotel is very spacious with a good layout that connects restaurant to pool to beach. Ocean breezes were definitely appreciated as the inland humidity was sometimes stifling during our visit. On site restaurant and pool bar were very good.

Beautiful hotel but too remote. Very relaxing.
I loved the hotel but it is remote and in a construction area. Beach was beautiful but surroundings were unsightly. The staff were wonderful. The facility was lovely. The restaurants were great. The beach was amazing. But there was absolutely no where to go that felt safe other than the hotel property. I would go again just because of the location.

Great hotel for families with young children
A great hotel for families but a bit out of the way - you need a taxi to go anywhere but the cost of taxis is reasonable and they are always readily availbale. The staff are charming and extremely helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

LOVE VILA GALE FORTALEZA
BEACH ACCESS WAS FANTASTIC, SERVICE AT THE BEACH WAS WONDERFUL, THE OCEAN IS CLEAN AND VERY NICE WITH LOTS OF CLEAN SAND! HOTEL WAS RENOVATING INSIDE WHICH CAUSED FOR SOME NOISE, BUT EVERYTHING WAS VERY CLEAN. HOTEL BREAKFAST WAS GREAT, DELICIOUS AND THE RESTAURANT STAFF WAS AMAZING. Hotel more for family, Great Beach. and Pool. Bad music at the pool, very Loud music all day, Not so good breakfast. Not so many resturante around who is open. and not so many choice in the hotel. Sometimes they have buffe on the resturante at the beach, More nice and better food. They don´t have many choice at the breakfast. The waffle machine broke down and was out of order for one week,?? crazy!

Vila Gale Fortaleza Great Beach Location
This was a very nice hotel and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The location is one of the best if you just want the beach. If you want to do more of a tourist type of trip in Fortaleza I would suggest another location. This is about 10 minutes from the Beira Mar area which is where most of the tourist attractions are. This is on the nicest beach in Fortaleza Praia do Futuro and they have many activities for children and it is a really good family venue. I found the hotel to be dated overall but it was clean and comfortable. I was told by locals including the staff that the neighborhood is not very safe but as long as you stay within the confines of the hotel and the beach across the street in the daytime you should be fine. When I saw 5 stars I usually think about a 5 star hotel in the states or western Europe. You need to set your expectations here. In comparison to many of the hotels in the area it does rate higher than most I looked at. The beach is beautiful there so if you want the best beach in the immediate Fortaleza area and want to relax this is a great location. The breakfast buffet was ample with something for everyone regardless of where you are coming from. They had traditional foods from every major continent and the food was good. The food at the restaurant on the beach was ok. I did have lunch there a couple of times.

Nice getaway
We stayed here for one night, as a getaway from Fortaleza. The hotel is probably a 3-star in terms of quality and furnishings. Some minor maintenance issues (e.g., lights out in hallways, somewhat thin mattress on the bed (in the "superior" room), though not unusual for Brazil). While I found the price of the buffet dinner (40 Reais) a bit high, it was still good. Breakfast buffet, included in the price, is okay (but, really, no fresh juice, just canned?).The beach, just across the street, is nice, but there is a favela (slum) and you would not want to walk in the area at night or early in the morning (this from locals). The location is a bit isolated from Fortaleza itself, but there are excursions, and the beach, while not pristine, is cleaner than that in front of the hotels in Fortalea itself, and you can arrange excursions. Staff were uniformaly friendly.

Worst Hotel Experience
[...] I arrived and they didn't believe me that I had already paid, so I had to pay again. They didn't have an airport shuttle, so I had to pay for a taxi in the morning; they said taxi's are out front 24/7. I showed up in the morning and there were no taxis, so I had to wait 15 minutes for one. The internet service was not working. Outdoor food service was terrible, once I got my food, it was terrible. No alarm clock in the room, so I asked for a wake-up call, which was late. The front desk staff was not very friendly. The hotel looks nice inside and out, but I had too many problems with them and would not stay here again. Luckily, in the end, I made my flight in the morning [...]

JUST PERFECT
This Hotel is off the beaten path, right on the beach.....If you and your wife want ,,some peace and also a wonderful time...I suggest that you come here..There are taxi's , at the hotel and very reasonable. I found the staff...from the cleaning ladies to hotel management, very friendly ...and try to make everything good. The breakfast buffet is more than you can possibly want...from fresh fruit,,to eggs and meat,,,,cheese and hard rolls... Juice and coffee....It is a perfect way to start your day...The beautiful beach is a very short walk across the quite street..and the sand and sea...is what you think of..when coming to beach vacation....I will...come back to this hotel... ,,,,,,,the beds are twin beds, pushed together...is only discomfort....

Great time in Fortalez
Overall the Hotel i excellent. Bar is limitd in good quality spirits and lack in divrsity of beer. There were no Queen or King beds, they are two single beds put together, you will fall in between them for sure!

As instalações são boas. Contudo, o café da manhã não tem um bom serviço porque são poucos empregados para a demanda. A fila para a tapioca e cuscuz fica enorme pq apenas 2 pessoas atendem e a demanda é grande. Também tivemos problemas com a camareira. A arrumação do primeiro dia 23/11 foi boa, já a do segundo dia foi péssima, nem os copos foram lavados. No dia do chek out a camareira bateu com força na porta às 8h da manhã e era um sábado. Atendi e disse a ela que teria até o meio-dia para sair. Não satisfeita ela voltou a incomodar às 11h30min. Foi desrespeitosa esta atitude e registrei na recepção ao meio-dia quando fiz o chek out.

Não gostei: O checkin me cobrou uma taxa para liberar meu apto antecipado em 2 hs , mesmo eu sendo cliente GOLD. Não deram a mínima Alegaram que o hotel esteva lotado e não havia apto pronto porem , apos o pagamento da tal taxa,milagrosamente o apto ficou pronto . Desagradavel, comportamento mercenario por parte do Hotel e a ocupação estava bem baixa nesse dia. Piscina pequena para o tamanho do Hotel, wifi razoavel Gostei: Quiosque do grupo na praia, instalações amplas, quarto grande embora precisando de ser modernizado, cafe da manhã bom.
