Graduation TripPosted May 24, 2015
Pros: The matresses....beds.
Cons: More blankets
Location: No comment
We stayed here on our way to a graduation. The breakfast was good, but didn't spend a lot of time in the room. It was ok for a place to sleep.

even though it was a busy weekend and every thing was booked out the staff was very nice and so was the room. It was the local universities graduation and they even had little candies to give the grads plus reasonable rates.

Convenient overnight in Humboldt redwood country!Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: Size of room and cleanliness and condition
Cons: Better beds , pillows blankets.
Location: Can walk to walkway by the Eel River as well as a great restaurant, the Eel River Brewing Co.
Great lodging after long drive and time on Ave of the Giants. Rooms are very large; remodeled motel nicely done. Very clean for a pet friendly room.

good solid hotelPosted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Shower had a conditioner, shampoo, soap dispenser. Disposable water cups instead of glasses (sanitary), great free breakfast with biscuits & gravy
Cons: Adult only pool/spa time in order to relax without having to watch and hear screaming kids
Location: One block away is a brewery/restaurant
My mom & I stayed in the room with two queen beds. It was a very spacious room, looked clean & smelled clean. Came with a refridgerator and microwave that were sort of hidden in the entertainment cabinet (where the tv was). Looked very tasteful. This one room not only had a desk, but a table for sitting at to eat breakfast and read the free paper in the morning. The 2nd level has a decent view in that when you look out the window you see into the sky, not the parked cars. The bedside lamp had two power outlets built into it's base, so it made it very easy to plug in our phones to charge overnight. I am very picky about beds, and this bed was very comfortable, not too firm and not too soft. The bathroom has a large window that can be opened when showering to let steam out and fresh air in. Im not too hot on free continental breakfasts, because they usually taste like they should be free, but the breakfast offered at this hotel is very decent. Two waffle makers, fresh biscuits and sausage gravy, hot scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, breads, cereals, 3 kinds of juice, tea choices, and coffee (with flavored creamer options).

Nice hotel!Posted Aug 31, 2014
Cons: The pool could probably use updating, but not bad.
Location: Red Woods
Stayed the night here during a Red Woods trip. The hotel is very nice, comfortable bed/pillows, clean rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast was great, too. I would stay here again. Nice pool.

UGGGGH...Smoking roomPosted Aug 18, 2014
Cons: The concept of the sink being outside the bathroom is dated!!! You can't get ready without waking up your family.
Although on the website it stated that it was a smoke free premises, we were given a smoking room. The details of the room on the site was abbreviated....including the designation of smoking. I did not know if it meant "smoking" or "smoke free". I assumed since it was designated as smoke free...I booked the room.
