Great hotel. Rooms are clean, comfortable and large. Great place to stay, especially for people from the US. Lots of English-speaking staff. Breakfast buffet has a good mix of local and Western food. I travel in Asia a lot and this is easily one of my favorites.

Pros: The quality finish
Cons: Traditional chinese restaurant is what I like travelling to China, they did not have one.
Location: Greta location in modern part of Foshan
A bit more expensive than I thought, but highly recommend.

Wonderful Hotel, but...

I have stayed at the Intercontinental Foshan twice now. It is a beautiful hotel with excellent service and would recommend to anyone. But, beware the true expense is in the restaurants. You can easily match your daily room rate in food costs each day..

For the money you are better off staying at the swissotel foshan

No hot water in my room at the time of my stay due to routine maintenance. Mould in the tile cracks in my shower, which was surprising for such a newly built hotel. Drain in the bath did not work. Ordered a glass of wine, but the bottle had been open for 4 days as the waiter informed me. The topper with this hotel was when they refused to give me the general managers name and email so that I could send a complaint letter. I looked up the hotels enquiry email and sent 3 emails on separate days, never got a response. I wouldnt go back, they just dont seem to care, which is surprising for an intercontinental.
