Exceeded all expectations

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Location- in the park, so the park is available to you 24 hours per day. The service, comfortable room. Only place I would stay if I went back.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Only hotel located in the park, so the park is available to guests 24 hours/day with views of the falls, nice restaurant, spa, tennis, pool.
It was its location in the park that caught my eye. Had no idea what to expect for a hotel in a national park in the jungle in Brazil. Much to my delight, it greatly exceeded all expectations. I've traveled all over the world, stayed with some of the finest chains, Marriott, Hyatt, Ritz, 4 Seasons. This hotel rates with the best of them. It has the charm of a fine old hotel, but has been kept completely up to date, clean and with many amenities. Would I recommend this place. Absolutely-already have. When we arrived at the park gate at 11pm, they were waiting with our names, took our bags and next saw them in our room. Greeted when the van arrived. Escorted to front desk. After checking in-escorted to our room. On the way, we were provided with details on the hotel, the park, booking tours, getting to the Argentine side (a must) etc. Breakfast is included-nice buffet-lots of fresh fruit, champagne, omelets, great pastries many other hot and cold options. Lunch and dinner are in the same restaurant (they are the only business in the park open off hours so only game in town-but it is also great.) The piano bar does offer drinks and food, plus 24 hr room service. The falls overlooks begin about 100 yards from hotel lobby. Make sure you walk to the end and the walkway into the center of the river at base of Devils throat falls. Walkway to top of Devils throat from Argentine side a must also. Cabs helpful, safe, very reasonable ($35 to Ar side) A bucket list must!

Location: Hotel situé au coeur du Parc des chutes d'Iguacu
Idéal pour la visite des cataractes d'Iguacu et se promener dans le parc

Most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed at.

Pros: It was a beautiful, with a lovely ambience, gracious decor, beautiful gardens and a lovely pool. The service was excellent and location fantastic.
Cons: The only thing we weren't happy with was the bed-which we found to be too hard, and uncomfortable.
Location: Right in the park by falls.1 day on each of the Brazilian + Argentinian side exploring falls, visited the wonderful bird park, Itaipu dam, boat trip.
We recently spent 4 nights at the Belmond and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time.

Best place to experience the falls

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Only place in the park on Brazil side, let's you experience the falls without hassle of transportation into the park and also offers the benefit of extended hours. Hotel is more like a resort, and the staff goes out of their way to take care of you.

Absolutely fantastic all round! Staff were very attentive and helpful, the food was excellent, the rooms were very well kitted out and good decor. Added bonus of having the falls to yourself after the park closes - a very special place
