“Will go back”

Loved the hotel! Mostly everyone spoke english, room was a good size, bigger than most I have seen in europe. Walking distance to many points of interest.

Good quality hotel service with relatively reasonable price, highly recommended.

“Great Hotel”

This hotel was in a great spot to walk to all the sites. It was clean, the staff was helpful and we had no complaints. I read some reviews about it being near the red light district, but we never saw anything alarming at all. Would definately stay there again.

“Travel with small kids”

Our family of four stayed in one of the superior rooms or apartments. It was spacious enough for all of us. It had large bathroom and small kitchen to accommodate our family with two little kids running around the room. I would highly recommend this room for anyone staying here for more than one night. The hotel is located inside the wall of Aldstat so it was within walking distance of the Christmas Markets which was the reason for the trip.

“Nice hotel in slightly seedy area in old city wall”

Nice Hotel within the old city walls (very walkable and close to trains). This is in the seedy (red light) area of old city but did not feel dangerous. Many restaurants and bars are within a short walk. Large rooms but like most hotels in Europe a non-fitted sheet is not provided which can make it tough to keep comfortable at night. Castle is walking distance (under 1 mile).

“Nice Stay Overall”

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and spoke a fair amount of English. It would have been better if the television had more than 3 channels with English speaking shows and movies. Also, breakfast should be included in your stay instead of being an additional 15 euro per person. Overall, it was comfortable and clean.

“Mixed feelings”

We arrived at the hotel to be advised immediately by our taxi driver that we were on the edge of the Red Light area and to take care NOT to turn right out of the Hotel! First problem with hotel the entrance is blocked by displaced smokers and their smoke! The reception staff were brusque they offered just enough assistance avoiding being friendly. All communal areas were set up for business and conferences and the solo traveler felt a little uncomfortable. However, the room was immaculate,spacious and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was very good, if a little pricey.
