Situated right across from the main train station, ideal for getting around town, staff superb, we will be going back.

“Good, but a bit expensive”

This hotel is well located and within walking distance of the old town. Good public transport also close by, with the train station just across the road. Journey time from the airport about 15 minutes. Food and service is very good but pricey.,

“Apart from the bed, the Hotel was as good as it could get”

The Hotel location, given we were visiting for the Christkindle Markt, was very good. A minutes walk from the HauptbahnHof, and approx 5 minutes walk to the nearest Gluhwein stand. Room was clean, service was good. We enjoyed the breakfast. All staff we spoke to were very helpful and polite Our only complaint would be over the comfort of the bed. Both my wife and I had trouble sleeping for long as the mattress was very hard. No doubt if we were staying longer than 2 nights we would have got used to it. That said, we would recommend this hotel and would stay there again

“Close to the Old City”

Although the rooms are small, you are literally acorss the street from the old historic part of Nurnberg with its cobblestone streets and old churches. The sauna room is adequate and a good workout room. Great restaurant although a bit pricey.

Quiet, clean, efficient hotel- even though located right acroos from the Hauptbahnhof. Could walk to all sites within the Alt Stadt. Post Office across street too.

“Where I always stay in Nuremberg”

The Grand Hotel is in an excellent location if you go to Nuremberg, Germany. It is directly across from the main train station (don't worry, you can't hear the trains) and right at the southeast entrance to the Old City (Altstadt). This is my third stay at the Grand Hotel. My room was a single (twin bed), which had nice decor, was clean and quiet. The bathroom was beautiful with marble, towel heater, etc. The room had air conditioning. I also ate at the bar and the food was simple, but quite good. I did not try the food in the restaurant. I would've rated this hotel overall as 5 star, except I found the fee for the Internet Access a bit excessive at 21 euros per day. If they lower that fee or remove it, then I would definitely rate this overall as a 5 star hotel.

“Convenient location with quality.”

The hotel is convenient to the train station, the city's tourist information, public transportation and the old city. The hotel desk was very gracious in allowing us to check out after noon, since we had an afternoon train. The quality of the room and the convenience of the hotel made it well worth our rate. If we return to Nuremburg, this is the hotel we will select.
