Central hotel with good connections

Posted Sep 16, 2014
A good business type hotel next to the train station and just outside main city wall . Staff were all excellent and restaurant and bar were actually very good and well worth sampling if you are staying here. Rather irritatingly WIFI is only free in the lobby area . Trains , trams and buses all leave from just over the road - so its a great spot for getting to most places in the town. That does mean that traffic can be quite busy and noisy but that is probably a price worth paying for the location.

Efficient staff excellent location

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Central Location, big rooms
Cons: Free WiFi, Breakfast included. Rooms a bit old looking but clean and fresh.
Hotel is typical Business Hotel and all is al la carte, nothing included. Still amazing that a hotel would charge 19 Euros per day for Wi Fi and 24 for Breakfast, plus 17 Euros for parking. For these reasons will not be staying there again.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff

Conveniently close to the railway station and just a short walk from Nuremberg's old town, Le Meridien's Grand Hotel was an excellent place to base our holiday from. We chose a deluxe room and weren't disappointed. Liked the option of postponing housekeeping of room in return for a 5E drinks voucher. Staff on site were all lovely; bar staff were particularly helpful. The best hotel I've stopped in recently.

Pros: Staff!!!
Cons: Nothing.
Location: It was centrally located to the castle. Cute cafes. Restaurants.
We checked in and the man helping us take our bags to our room, found out it was our honeymoon and immediately called someone and got us a better room!! Soon after, someone came to our room with champagne and strawberries!!! This was our favorite hotel and would definitely return.

The bath tubs were of an older design and quite difficult for us older folks to use.

Nice hotel in good access location

We were happy with the location as it was close to the old city center. The front desk staff was very helpful and had an excellent recommendation for dinner. The room was spacious but our view was looking directly into someone else's window. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
