“Would definately stay here again - nice property and great value !!!”

This is a nice hotel in a beautiful town, Wurzburg is an amazing little town, and staying in the Mercure was a really pleasant experience. I was there with my two children, ages 10 and 11. We had a very nice triple room, which incidentaly was the largest room we had the whole time we were in Europe. It was L shaped, with proper beds for all of us no rollaway) and there was more than enough room for all of us. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom, and tastefully appointed. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, able to supply us with maps and directions whenever we asked. The breakfast room was also very nice and the buffet breakfast was definately one of the better ones I have encountered - all in all a very enjoyable stay !!!!

“Hotel is very good, but value and location are even better”

We happened upon this hotel almost by blind luck, but couldn't be happier with our 2 night stay. The location is spectacular - just across the Main river from the Wurzburg Alstadt, with about a 2 block walk past a few cafes to a pedestrian only bridge, also in the shadows of the Castle. If you've got wheels, it's an easy drive to Rothernburg ob der Tauber, and also Nuremberg. The room and hotel were above average. It's low-intensity hotel (i.e. you might only see one or two hotel employees during your visit, but everything hums nonetheless, and), and at the price we paid, an absolute bargain. (And I don't think we lucked into anything but a regular deal.) Parking was free to boot. In all, I highly recommend this hotel

This was a lovely place to stay as close to this beautiful town. only 5 minutes walk. Very quiet, good double glazing.

“Good value for money!”

This hotel is very clean and well organized. One of the best features is that free parking (limited spots) is available in the back of the hotel if you don't want to spend 10 Euros to park in the garage or go through the hastle of street parking (which is hard to find anyway). It is only a 10 minute walk along the Main river to the center of Wurzburg's old city (cathedral). Excellent quality and location for the money!

“A Good Choice”

The Mercure was the standard one would expect. Everything was just fine and nothing was outstanding. I arrived mid-afternoon so I got a parking space in the free outside lot.. The location is good, about a 10 minute walk from the very interesting old town.

“Location”

Across the river from city center... however not too far from historic bridge to get to sites,etc. Quiet area with decent view of the fortress overlooking town. Would recommend for a nite or two.

hotel was in a good location small rooms in typical europian style- not old world charm like the city, but but good food. parking was a challenge . overall a good experience

“Not impressed”

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in July. Not very impressed. There was an extra 15 euro charge for a breakfast buffet per day if you would like to have there. The bed was very uncomfortable: Two single beds putting together serving as a fullsize bed. Very uncomfortable for me and my boyfriend. The bath towels had some odor that I couldn't bear with.
