Friendly staff and very close walk to Durer House and Nuremberg Castle as well as restaurants and cafes. The hotel breakfast was delicious.

We loved this hotel and would stay there again. Room was beautiful, spacious, and clean; I could have relaxed there all day. Friendly and helpful staff and the location couldn’t have been better. Easily accessible parking too.

The Durer hotel is in a very good location with bars and restaurants everywhere. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff are always trying to please. I can't say anything negative about this hotel. The staff if just amazing! I will never stay in another hotel.

The staff at this hotel took excellent care of us. The language barrier was not a big problem and the staff was nice enough to speak English. The room was perfect for a family of four (the quadruple room) and was very comfortable. It was a very easy walk to all of the sites in Old Town and parking was a breeze. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely small hotel in great location for touring and sampling the Golden delights of Nuremburg in the ALT STADT. Staff ,both at reception and in the restaurant ,were helpful and friendly. Paid a good price , got good value for money and would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Only negative, bar was not open - prob covid related however you could fall out of the front door into a few nice bars.

Beautiful Hotel easy parking!
Super friendly competent staff at the reception. Amazing location at the foot of the castle easy to walk to all the central cities hot spots. Great parking opportunity.

My Mistake
This might be ok in the winter, spring and fall but big mistake in the summer. No A/C and hard springs in the mattress made for a miserable night’s sleep! The bartender seemed annoyed to have to wait on us and our friends we invited back (from their hotel) for an after dinner drink. It was finally cool enough to sit in the lovely garden but we were told it was too late (9pm) for the furniture cushions. We dug them out of bins ourselves AND put them away. On a bright note, the breakfast buffet was very good.

Only complaint is the size of the showers and how hot the room was. But I understand that is almost standard and Europe. Overall very happy either the hotel, staff and amenities. Would definitely stay again when in Nuremburg.

This is really a TOP hotel in the real center of Nürnberg. Good parking. Very good breakfast.

The hotel is at a great location in a walking distance from all major Nürnberg old town attractions. The area is quiet. The hotel is not new but clean. They have private parking for EUR14 per night, which is a nice feature given the difficulty of parking in the old town. It also has a very nice small garden to have a couple of drinks at night. The staff is generally welcoming with the bartender being one negative exception. The double room that we stayed in was quite spacious by the European hotel standards, however, that could be because it was a corner room. The included breakfast was quite good. WiFi worked well, however you have to re-sign in every time you to return to the hotel and every morning.

Really nice hotel and perfect location. Only the missing air condition was a pity. I guess at normal temperatures this does not really matter, but we had about 38°C that night. At least they had a desk ventilator in the room, that helped a bit.

Thid was one of the best hotels that i have Stayed in in that price range.2 minute walk to about 5 resturants.Breakfast was very good And many choices.I reccomend this hotel for Anyone going to Nurnberg.

We booked our room on-line and when we arrived late at night they said they hadn't received the booking, although I had a confirmation email. They said the only room they could give us was 2 single rooms with single beds. The lady at reception was not helpful at all and claimed they didn't have any double rooms to give us. After a long day driving this was a very unpleasant end to the day.

Great Location!
The hotel staff when I arrived wasn't very helpful as to where to park. But the location was amazing. It was in the middle of Old Town, walking distance to everywhere you'd like to see. Of the 7 days we were in Germany, this location had the best breakfast spread by far.

Hotel staff were very nice and friendly. Hotel is clean and nice. Our room was clean. WiFi is free and it was okay speed. Breakfast was wonderful. Hotel has free and paid parking. Walk to the castle is about 5 minutes.We very much enjoy our stay in this hotel.

At thr foot of Nuremberg Castle
Parking is tight! But a wonderful and friendly place right in the old city and less than a block to many places to enjoy Franonian and Bavarian food and drink

Great location for walking
I stayed here for one night as part of a longer road trip, but could have easily done two or three. The hotel was a bit of a pain to get to with a car due to all the one-way or car-free streets in the Altstadt, but once we were there it was great. Everything was very close, and the density of restaurants and walkable streets in the area meant that nothing was too crowded, despite it being peak tourist season.

Nice hotel, by the castle and walking distance to all the sights. Great varied breakfast. Large and clean rooms, the decor is a little bit dated. No airconditioning - it would not normally be a problem but we were there during a heat wave!

If you are an artist wanting to stay here because of Durer's history... DO NOT!!! It has nothing to do with the artist and is a tourist trap. As a young printmaker backpacking Europe, I traveled to Nuremberg specifically to see the Durer house and was incredibly happy to spend the extra money to stay in the hotel. The experience I had was disappointing. On my reservation I had booked a double room but once I arrived they claimed I had a single even when I pulled up my booking online. The front desk staff treated me with extreme disrespect for seemingly no reason after this misunderstanding. One girl with short brown hair worked at the front desk and was nothing short of cruel to my friend and I for the duration of our stay. After our first night we would avoid walking through the lobby while she was working. I am a respectful 24 year old woman with plenty of travel experience. I have never been paid so much to be treated like an annoyance! On the bright side, the breakfast was actually great! The staff working in the mornings was usually polite and helpful.
