Good hotel near FrankfurtPosted Jul 8, 2013
Cons: The wifi inside the room is not good.
Good hotel, clean rooms. The hotel is located in a very nice old building and rooms are spacious

very nice business hotel, but ...Posted Jun 20, 2013
all in all a good and pleasant hotel. The ownly flaw - no aircondition and on hot days the rooms heat up to much and it i hard to find a restful sleep. During my stay the outside temperture hit 35 deg C and the rooms turned into a sauna. Luckily for the hotel such days are rare in Germany and that was pretty much the only negative point. What is sure the hotel provides good value for your money. It is very reasonable priced and is in a good location - 10 min per car away from the center.

Wi-Fi was unavailable in our room during our stay and there were some temporary problems with the elevators, but otherwise it was a good experience. There is a grocery store across the street, but otherwise not too much else. Frankfurt was a 10-15 minute cab ride away.

Very happy with the hotel. Helpful staff, clean room. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent as well as the staff. The only thing is the hotel does not provide a shuttle service to the airport and the cab costs us 35 euro.

Pros: Unique building, quick access to Frankfurt city, bakery next door
Cons: The male receptionist, no free wifi, no free parking (just park outside the terrain!)
The old slaughterhouse is beautifully converted into a hotel and colored our stay with a pleasant atmosphere (though that sounds weird). Nice spacious room, except the shower in the bath (weird habit). With a bakery right next door, you do not need to book the expensive breakfast. Frankfurt is easily accessible. Only downside; we didn't feel very welcome due to the uninterested (male) receptionist. Pity.

Nice ambiance and good pricePosted Nov 2, 2012
Cons: surprised surcharge for parking in the hotel's garage - despite listing in Expedia
Location: Centrally located for our purposes on the west side of Frankfurt.
Lovely ambiance and great price. The original building was a slaughter house for the town, thus the unique architecture for a hotel. The only reason I take away a star is that the parking at the hotel was not free as listed by Expedia. It was 11 Euros for one night.

Excellent location and servicePosted Oct 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel when I have to be in the greater Frankfurt area. It offers everything you would need for a business trip: WiFi, access to major highways, proximity to Frankfurt airport, and a restaurant on site. There is even a grocery store (REWE) next to it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and I would recommend eating breakfast at the hotel as those 10 Euros are well spent and the lavish breakfast buffet.

Good value, some quirksPosted Oct 17, 2012
Good hotel, good value. Unfortunately, the single elevator was out of order the entire week i was there and climbing 4 flights got old quickly. Dining options in the area consist of the (way overpriced) hotel restaurant and a bar/restaurant next door. Period. Fortunately there's a supermarket next door and a fridge in the room. About a 20 minute walk/5 minute bus ride to the S-Bahn, mostly thru a fairly beat neighborhood; some sketchy eateries on the way. Definitely uninviting to non-locals. Of dubious charm is the collection of chicken coops and other poultry abodes behind the supermarket and the birds start squawking at the crack of dawn each morning. Make sure you stay on the non-chicken side.
