“I would (and did) repeat!”

This was my second visit to this hotel. It is clean, secure and very well located for my purposes. It is just a short walk to the Hauptbahnhof and there is plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment in the area. Much more is just a short train ride away. The streets in the area are as safe as any I have seen in Frankfurt. The hotel itself is well maintained. Staff is always courteous and friendly. They speak English very well and strive to be helpful. The rooms are designed for my kind of travel: a place to sleep and then out you go. I stayed for 6 nights but spent little daytime in the room. It is quite small, but perfectly adequate for the single traveller. The toilet facilities (ensuite) were quite good and well maintained. My only complaint involves the computer service in the lobby area. There are 4 terminals available, but during my visit only 1 was working. To counter, I was allowed access to terminals in the adjacent hotel. The only downside to the service, when it is available, is that you cannot print. Airline boarding passes may be booked but not printed. This is not a major problem.

“Decent hotel”

I had a pleasant time at the Colour Hotel. The room was small, but it was no problem as I was traveling alone. I would recommend this hotel to my friends or family. It is right in the city center so it is easy to get to many interesting thing, by either train or walking.

“Different....”

A different type of hotel. The room was small and basic, but the bed was comfortable and it's not like I was using the room for much else than sleeping. The location was quite good, although the general area is not the most select. The design of the place is striking, maybe a little cold and indifferent. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful and the whole place spotlessly clean.

“Good, good, good”

Right across the street from the train station and convenient to Frankfurt sites, this hotel offered me just what I was looking for. It was extremely clean, had all the basic amenities for a single traveler in their 30s maybe a bit past the backpacking stage but without a need for a business class hotel. Would definitely go back.

“Main Train Station: Very Good Budget Hotel”

The Colour is a very good value across the street from the main Frankfurt train station. Free internet available in the lobby. Staff very professional and helpful.

“Great location and value”

This is the second time I've stayed in Colour, and I'm a happy repeat customer. It is in a great location near the train station, and it also is close to tourist attractions. It is clean and a good value.

this hotel isso convenient and it located just across the road from the train station that takes you to the airport. Clean sheets and free internet is the icing to the cake plus 2 alcohol free drinks from the bar. I highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to visit Frankfurt. I will definitely stay here again!

“Lukewarm”

The service was faultless, as usual in Europe, but the room was on the tiny side and the colours were paler than I expected. Perhaps they thought vivid would keep people awake. Anyway, it was a nice idea, but not carried through very well. A minor quibble. For the price, and especially for the location if you're on the move (it's right across from the train station), it's a good bet.

“Excellent Service from Desk Personnel”

The hotel and room were perfectly adequate for my needs. I spent little time there other than sleeping so the small room was no problem. It is across from the main train station so was perfectly sited for my needs. My tour company right was located around the corner. Lots of good eateries in the area. Complaints: just a few - the free computers in the lobby and lounge were often off line, but there were enough that I could always find one to use there or in the next door hotel. I could not print my return ticket boarding passes from them. On occasion the elevator would stick, but if you pushed the door all the way closed, it worked. The room was a little hot at night, so I opened the windows, but the early morning tram noise would keep me awake. (I was 2nd floor, front) Could have used safes in the rooms, but the counter staff looked after my needs. Positives: Excellent counter staff, (One lady even looked after arranging a tour from me because I was unfamiliar with the phones and spoke no German). All front counter staff were fabulous. Shower in the bathroom was excellent. Bed was comfy. Computers were invaluable for keeping tabs on my flights, etc. Coffee at front desk was 1st rate. All in All, it was what I needed: clean, safe friendly place to spend the nights. I would return.
