Never again

Posted May 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was deceived by the picture attached, I thought it is a hotel, there was no clear sign on the building to show the name. I walked around five kilometers from hectares station till I found a very small sign on the street, it was a very small shared apartment rather than a hotel. The bed, pillows, duvets were terrible. There was no towels, no shampoo and no soap in the shared bathroom. The WiFi was terrible also. I was totally disappointed. I never recommend this for any one for its price. It never deserve more than 20 euros. I payed 60 euros.

Good value for the price, not so great for sleep.

Pros: Staff, location and convenience. Plenty of places to eat and drink very close to the hostel.
Cons: Bit of a tricky one really, as it is a hostel and not a hotel, so it had the failings that you would expect to find at a hostel. Noise was bad.
Location: Easy access to the town centre, main train station and exhibition centre. Easy to find, and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
What can I say. it's a hostel so a great nights sleep was always an unlikely outcome. And in many ways you get what you pay for. I was there on business and had left it too late to book a hotel anywhere near frankfurt, so was pleased to have found somewhere, anywhere, that I could lay my head for a couple of nights, the constant noise from the main street where it is located and the never ending coming and going from the other people staying in the room, meant that getting any sleep was nigh on impossible, which is always a downside when you have a couple of very busy days ahead of you. And the fact that there are only two bathrooms which are shred between upwards of sixteen people, means that in order to have a shower or use the loo, you need to have the strategic planning talents of a four star general. I found that the only way to ensure I could get in the shower so I could leave when i needed to was to be up at about 6am and beat the rush. That said, it is a hostel and does not pretend to be anything other than that, it was well priced for what was provided, which was essentially a bed (of the bunk variety) washing facilities (and a washing machine) plus a bar (not free, but always open) and a safe locker to keep your valuables.. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location of the hostel itself was spot on, with a tram stop right outside with easy access to and from the main train station and town centre

The owner was very helpful. He is engaging company and he made sure that guests were introduced and mixed together. He has a great love of all things chinese and was especially welcoming and considerate to guests from that side of the world. The hostel was clean with more than adequate showering and toilet facilities. There is also a small bar and dining area.
