The most expensive building site in Frankfurt

Posted Jan 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Perfect location for the Messe. Entire hotel covered in scaffolding and netting. There was no mention of this on any web site. No view and constant rattling of the netting against the window. The work was started in June/July and looks as if it will continue for some time. Very dissapointing for the price paid

Great hotel but under renovation

Posted Dec 12, 2013
Best bar in Frankrurt is Jimmy 's. The hotel is charming. Restaurant is top notch. Breakfast buffet is the best in the world. When renovation to the outside is complete in early 2014 it will be good to stay, otherwise you need to get a suite in the seperate building which is very nice but costs much more.

Wonderful

Pros: Thre room was beautiful and the staff was great.
Cons: Completion of the renovations.
Location: The hotel is located in an area where there is a lot of green space. Transportation is very close along with shopping, entertainment and museums.
This was my second visit to Frankfurt and my first stay at the Hessischer Hof. Even with all the renovation work going on it was a wonderful stay. The staff was extremely helpful including assisting me in recover of my Cell Phone that I dropped in a taxi. I will be traveling to Frankfurt a lot for business over the next year and plan to stay there every time.

They're renovating the hotel

Posted Oct 22, 2013
The Facade is all covered up. My window had plastic outside so i couldn't see out of it. The lobby and restaurant are beautiful but because of the renovation being done, my image of the hotel lowered a bit. Also, parking is 25 euros/day.

The best hotel I ever stayed!

I was there on business trip. I think this is the best hotel I ever stayed. Good location. Despite being renovated my room was very quiet ( execute ) . Definitely recommended.

Nice Place -- Recommended

Pros: Room comfort, staff
Cons: 1) Breakfast pricing is nearly $40 per person (yes, forty dollars). 2) An average glass of wine is 11 Euros. Drink elsewhere.
Location: N/A as we used this as a place to crash and move on.
During our stay, the front of the hotel was covered by a plastic barrier for repair work, and this obstructed any view from the room window. Still, we don't spend a lot of time in the room except for cleaning up and sleeping. While it wasn't ideal, this wasn't deal breaker, either. The nice sized room had a comfortable double bed, a desk with a chair, and a side chair with a table. The bathroom was good sized and easy to use without feeling trapped or claustrophobic. Free amenities included fruit (apple, pear, banana) and a small refrigerator filled with a variety of drinks -- mostly juices and waters but also a couple of beers. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

perfect for auto fair

Posted Sep 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
location was ideal for the auto show (or any show at the frankfurt messe) and u-bahn access. has a gym but is located down the street, not a big deal especially considering this is a regular membership gym so much better facilities than a hotel gym. only downside to this hotel was the whole outside was under construction and completely covered in plastic so no views from the rooms.
