A pleasant surprise...Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: The balcony room and that the staff was very helpful. Got me checked in early and were helpful with questions and service.
Cons: More towels in the bathroom. That's about it and I was a single so I understand their trying to save on laundry costs.
Location: Very close to main train station. Food and beer garden local as well. Walking distance to shopping, museums and Main River.
I read some bad reviews about this hotel but my experience was positive. Paid less than hostel cost for a top floor double room with a balcony.

convenient for station and central business distriPosted Oct 25, 2013
Cons: better lift
Location: in a busy street with several eateries of various types and regions. convenient for the station and financial district
Reception was quick and efficient. the only lift is quite slow and has limited capacity Whilst breakfast is quite expensive you can get quite a lot. Some rooms are small due to the intrusion of the lift shaft.

Great LocationsPosted Oct 11, 2013
Cons: It's a busy part of town - not much can be done about that
Location: Perfectly situated for the in-transit visitor
This is a great hotel if you are in transit as I was - I arrived from Paris by Train and could walk the 5 minutes from the Station to the hotel and then the next morning I could walk back to the station to take the S-Bahn to the airport. In this case it really was location, location, location....

Good HotelPosted Aug 27, 2013
Quality of location depends on your perspective, but I liked the atmosphere of the Kaiserstrasse. Conveniently located close to train station. Staff very friendly. Great ice cream cafe right next door. Breakfast was ok.

Great location, horrible servicePosted Aug 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was conveniently located next to the Frankfurt Hbf station, only about a 10-minute walk to Zeil, one of the main shopping districts. We realized as soon as we went to check in that it wasn’t going to be a pleasant stay. The front desk staff were incredibly rude. After checking in, they asked if the 3 of us will be staying, to which we replied yes, as was indicated on our booking which is why we had a room with two beds and a sofa bed. After arguing about this, saying that we weren't in the right 'category' room, and that they'd need to work this out, we sat in the lobby for about a half-hour as they wouldn't let us go into the room. We were told that they've had to move us to a bigger room and we had to pay an additional $50. After expressing our annoyance at this, we paid the fee. When we got to the room, it was smaller than any hotel room I'd ever seen, which was mainly shocking because we were told we had to pay to be moved to a bigger room that was "suitable" for three people. This one also didn't have the sofa bed, but rather a small cot on the floor. Every other encounter with the woman from the front desk was equally unpleasant. The room was pretty clean and had a minibar and functioning windows. The hotel was in pretty good shape, but definitely not approaching luxury. There was no ice machine or anything, though. I would certainly never stay at this hotel again, and would recommend trying to find a more reputable hotel to anyone considering staying here.
