“good hotel but not nice location”
the hotel service was helpful. the room was clean. However, it was not in city centre. it took 15-20 min to walk to main train station.
“Frankfurt Hotel”
The Movenpick Hotel in Frankfurt is located in the Messe area, which is the city's exhibition section. It's about a 15 minute walk from the railroad (S-bahn) to the airport and 10 minutes from the underground (U-Bahn) to the city centre. It is somewhat isolated in the Messe with an 8-minte walk tto the nearest restaurant, Cafe Mediterraneo, excellent Italian food. That being said, the hotel was very good - clean modern bedroom and bathroom, accomodating receptionists, who all speak good English, and got us an early check-in from a morning flight. The breakfast buffet was quite good but expensive, 22 Euros, and no alternatives int he vicinity.

I have only positive comments about the hotel, the staff, and the location. You might want to be aware that there is construction on one side of the hotel; we were there on the weekend and on the opposite side of the hotel, so it didn't affect us at all. Also, when we walked into the Frankfurt city-center, we ended up walking through the Red Light district once, which was seedy and startling.
“refreshing hotel”
One subway stop from the main station. It is tucked behind the front buildings of the Messe. Once you figure that out, it is easy to get to. The room is big and comfortable and so is the bathroom. Good exercise room. The breakfast buffet is good, but expensive and the breakfast personnel very friendly. Most of the front desk staff are friendly and helpful, but one was decidedly unfriendly about cashing a 50 Euro bill so as to make shopping easier. Another attendant had been more than glad to do so on the previous day, and also provided an all day transportation ticket at a little less cost than from a vending machine. The room doors are heavy, so you hear them closing on the hall, and in fact if you're lying in bed can feel the room vibration. But overall, I think this hotel was a refreshing place to stay and a welcome change from the four star hotel across from the train station I stayed in on two other occasions.
