“great over nighter”

Clean and neat with a simple but nice buffet breakfast. Old but immacuate great value for price, Service excellent need to check in at requested time small hotel not always someone at front desk, Secure parking across road and walking distance to centre. Great overnighter.

“So close to city center”

The hotel was very close to Zeil hence very convenient. The twin bed room was quite big with a small kitchen. everything was very clean. The price was very attractive and no complicated check-in check-out. Would definitely go back.

“Almost perfect”

The Residence hotel could be the perfect family hotel. It was the first hotel during our 3 week stay in Europe that actually accommodated us and our 2 teenage kids in one room (composed of 2 sections) with 4 beds. In fact, the rooms of building of the hotel (adjacent to hotel) where we stayed function more as apartments. The location is excellent; however, the immediate surrounding area is a bit shady, particularly at night.

“Consider Neighborhood”

The room was clean with basic equipment, including a kitchenette, and the staff was friendly. One thing to know: Residence Hotel is located in an area with several bars in the same street and sex shops around the corner. While I was not bothered on the street, as a woman, I did make sure to return to the hotel before dusk.

the hotel front desk, is in the city hotel,not in the residence hotel,wich is one door entry only,the rooms are perfec,clean and location is really good,you can walk to financial district and other interest points.

“Good value”

Good, no-frills hotel. Parking was hard to find since there are no Parkhauses near the hotel. Street parking was available after making several passes and waiting for someone to vacate their spot. What is not advertised is that he hotel offers guest parking for 8 Euro per day behind the hotel in their alley. Room was comfortable and clean. Shower but no tub which may be a show-stopper for families with young kids (like us). TV did not work but that was really no big deal for us. Breakfast was simple and good. Rollands (black out shades) are awesome for making the room pitch black and also drown out almost all of the street noise. There are many restaurants near by and a park less than 300m from the property. There is also a grocery store just down the street approx 50m. Multi lingual (English speaking) and pleasant front desk. Great room for the price.

“Nice hotel for the price”

I would go back. Located close to sites to see, resturants all around, priced right. We would stay there again.

“Convenient, clean, and hospitable”

Great value for the price at this place. Check in was quick and easy, everything was in order. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel reception was very friendly and helpful and spoke great English as well. Only issue was location. Although it was near a train stop, it was in the heart of the red lights and ladies area. If you have no problem with that, then this is a great place and awesome value.

“If you don't mind the cat house view behind the Hotel it's in a great location”

This Hotel was better than expected considering the price, most of the staff was very nice. They had an elevator. Parking behind was ok, they would have locked up the car on request, the red-light district is evident, but there are always people on the street and I didn't feel that it's dangerous. The receptionist was very nice and we looked at 3 rooms. All of them were renovated and clean. Water pressure everything was there. The room was clean. The mattress was clean, but too soft for me. There were a few broken light bulbs that were fixed the next morning. The walls are very thin and if you are sensitive you can hear a lot, the windows had shutters that you should really use. The walking distance to the main shopping street "Zeil" and the Train station "Konstabler Wache" makes this Hotel a bargain for a few days. I wouldn't recommend to stay here with children, but for a quick trip or just to get around the City it's perfect. The Zoo is close by and to walk to the Main River for a beautiful view of the Sky line is just 10 min. I would go back there, not during the fair, but when the city is quite, free wireless internet was working excellent.
