“Clean, inexpensive,”
Near the train station. Inexpensive. Clean. The area nearby isn't so nice, but it's not so bad. The rooms are rather small, but I didn't really mind that at all. I'd recommend if you're on a budget.
“Great value and location”
This hotel is very close to main train station and the receptionist was a great guy, very freindly and helpful. The breakfast is, of course, a European continental affair, and the breads, meats, and cheeses were fine. I asked for a quiet inside room, and got it. I will return.
“clean hotel near train station”
you're welcomed by a cozy lobby and friendly staff. our room was on the top floor and felt like our own little apartment (big bedroom, separate sitting room, massive bathroom with new shower). the stairwell leading to our room was still under renovation, but the room itself was perfect. free wifi worked like a charm. the free breakfast in the morning had many options. would definitely stay here again. great price for location and amenities.
“Close To The Action, But Not So Close As Noisy”
Conveniently located -- couple of blocks from the main train station. Full German style breakfast (not American or English style) of meats/cheeses/hard boiled eggs/museli/yogurt/breads/etc. Only negative comment is the lack of an ice machine for us addicted Americans. Not air-conditioned, but a fan was provided. I had a street-side room which was less noisy than I was expected since it's a side street.
“A good hotel for a low price in a fantastic location.”
The only thing I would comment on negatively is the dirty sofa in my room. It desperately needed to be cleaned. I had no idea what was on there. However, I found the continental breakfast to be pretty good. The usual stuff...a few cold cuts, yogurt, bread, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Dry cereal. Three types of juice and they ask if you want coffee or tea. The neighborhood is somewhat sketchy...but its actually centrally located. I was a single woman traveling alone and I did not really feel comfortable walking around in the evening. However, that's really just common sense. Just a couple of blocks over from the rail station, which has all kinds of fast food places (Mcdonalds, Burger King), stores, pastry shops. I was on a budget and it was great to find cheap food so close to the hotel.
“Visually pleasing; offensive to the nostrils and ears.”
Upon entering the hotel, everything seemed very nice. I loved the colors and the sweet lady at the desk. I made the mistake of not asking for rooms away from the street, which made resting difficult with all of the street noise. The next day, we asked for rooms away from the street. The lady was very accommodating, and she offered me the last room available. When we entered the room, we noticed a very putrid smell coming from the bathroom. It smelled like the septic system was not working. I figured that there must have just been a person in there just prior to us entering the room, and I hoped that the smell would just go away. When we left for the day and came back, we noticed that the smell was even stronger. It was very difficult to settle down with the stench coming from the bathroom, so we tried switching rooms again. I understood that they were all booked up for that night and there was no other place we could go. Regardless, I asked the desk clerk to check the situation out. He entered the room, went into the bathroom, and told me that it was just that someone had smoked in there, and that it was electrical. It clearly was not. I'm not a complainer, but given the circumstances, I cannot recommend this hotel.
“great location, clean, polite”
This hotel is about 1 block from the train station. Breakfast was very good and the staff was always polite. I arrived in Frankfurt in a rental car and was able to drive to the hotel, drop off bags, and return the car to the rental agency at the train station all on the same 2 blocks. Very convenient.
“Great place to stay in Frankfurt!”
I stayed in this hotel only for a night.I really like the hotel because it was only a block and a half from the main train station about a 5 min walk. The staff were very helpful and always did their best to take care of me.Even thought the hotel does not have AC they were nice enough to provide me with a fan which I really appreciate. As for the breakfast buffet they had a traditional German breakfast and they waited on me hand and foot. Great service I would recommend it for it's great price in such a great location! =]
“How could it be worse?”
The hotel was listed as non-smoking - it isn't. Were supposed to have a king sized bed - it didn't. Said they had A/C - they don't. The walls had stains of unknown origin on them. I was afraid to take off my socks for fear of what was on the stained carpet. The hotel is near the train station, and while that is convenient the area is pretty sketchy.
“Great find for the business traveler”
Conveniently located (2 blocks from Hauptbahnhof) yet quiet. Not air-conditioned, but they provided a table fan which was fine. Single room, which fit my budget. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent. Very good value.
