“conveniently located and clean”
The room was fine for two people; the bathroom was a bit cramped, especially the area around the sink. The bathroom fan was extremely noisy and took a long time to shut off. The breakfast buffet was included -- somewhat limited but adequate offerings. The staff was friendly and helpful.
“Repeat Quality!”
This was my 2nd stay at the Victoria Hotel...all because of my 1st experience there. The Victoria again delivered solid performance...good price, modern and clean room, efficient and friendly staff, good breakfast, close to Frankfurt's main railway station, and free internet access! The Victoria even came up during my TSA interview at Frankfurt's airport with the German national providing the service. He knew the hotel also and we both had a chuckle about the Victoria's location (yes, it is within the "red light" district outside the Frankfurt main railway station). Don't worry...nothing "rubs" off on you and you will not get accosted when you walk through the area! For example, on this occasion I arrived at midnight and no one spoke to or approached me during my 5 minute walk from the railway station to the hotel. Same thing on my return walk the next morning!
“convenient. small rooms. clean.”
Coveniently located near rail system. Took rail from airport to stop, only 2 block walk. Rooms are small, but we did not plan on spending anytime in room, spent all day seeing sights.
“Good Hotel.... Crazy Hood”
The hotel is about what one can expect from a three star. Only breakfast is available. The rest you have to get take-out. The internet is an inconvenience to access and is very expensive. The neighbor to the left of the hotel is surrounded by prostitutes, Cat Houses (brothels) and Crack-heads. Don’t worry though it’s safe I am not being sarcastic. Serious. I walked around at all times of day and night and never had any problems . The area to the right of the hotel has many shops, restaurants and grocery stores which are very convenient to a weary traveler.
“Nice place but be careful outside”
This hotel was clean and had everything I needed although the room was a bit small. That's not unusual for Europe though. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Only 3 blocks from the river. If you go out in the main street during late night or early morning you will see lots of dirtbags smoking and selling crack. They don't even try to hide it. Not that they bother you but it's a pretty sad site and not so good for kids.
“Nice hotel.....BUT!!”
Very convenient t the main train station only 2 blocks away!! Hotel staff was exceptional and the rooms were spic and span. Beds are very comfrotable and the courtesy breakfast is not overly impressive, but a very adequate way to begin your day...the breafkast staff very impressive as well. THE BAD!!! The neighborhood is not all that great although safe!! BE SURE TO ASK FOR AN INSIDE ROOM!!!! Don't let them give you a room overlooking the street/city because it is LOUD!!! There is a strip joint called Dolly Busters across the street and boy oh boy is it LOUD---ALL NIGHT!!
“Convenient Hotel in Frankfurt”
The hotel is very convenient to the train station and all the sights in Frankfurt. Breakfast was very good in selection of varieties of food. The personnel at the front desk are very helpful. Beds are very comfortable and the room was an adequate size.
“Great Hotel Near the Train Station”
When looking at Expedia.com reviews prior to selecting this hotel, there was the usual mixture of opinions. Thankfully, my experience landed on the side of the positive ones! The hotel is easily found a short 2 blocks from the main train station. Yes, the neighborhood has plentiful erotic shops, but that is "typical" for the area surrounding the main train station in most large German towns. And if you do not go into any of the shops, then no problem! Plus, I was not approached by anyone during my walk to the hotel. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, with both cold and hot choices. Room decor was updated and modern. Hotel staff were great. Can easily walk from the hotel to the Old Town in about 15 minutes (out the hotel front door, go either left or right, and then a straight shot down either street...away from the main train station!).
“Great location - close to everything”
I stayed here for three nights and the service was great. I loved the breakfast. The location was great too - close to downtown and everything. The room was small but clean - I paid for a double bed room for one person, but got two small beds (different from our US hotels!!!). The bathroom was very small but nice and clean. Overall, it was a good hotel for the price I paid.
“Very Happy With Victoria Hotel”
I really enjoyed my stay at the Victoria Hotel. The staff was very friendly. Rooms were in very good condition. Good water pressure in the shower. Maid service was excellent. I looked forward to the breakfast each morning which provided a great assortment of eggs, cereals, breads, coffee and juices. A computer in the lobby provided free internet access. The hotel has a great location just a few blocks from the Frankfurt rail station and convenient to the museums on the south side of the River Main and the financial district, shops and old town area on the north side. I definitely would stay here again.
