"Our first stay at Leeu estates did not disappoint. We have stayed at several other properties in the area and this one just sneaks to the prime position, as our new favourite.
Very peaceful, luxurious, great service, wonderful dining options, fabulous rooms and amenities. Staff were excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful.
The grounds are immaculate and the views of the mountains and the surrounding area, really do make for a wonderful backdrop for a peaceful stay. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the sculptures around the grounds- fab!
It is a little way out of town. So you will need to take the shuttles that run into town at set times. Or pay for a taxi. Their partner hotels in the town itself are very accommodating, should you need to drop by and use their facilities as well.
Spa is lovely. And the gym well equipped. The on premise art gallery is worth a visit. And we had a wine tasting included in our stay, which was a nice touch.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Lots of options. And again, service was very on point.
We will definitely be back. "
"We fell in love with Leeu House. The staff were so friendly and so helpful - preempting our needs before we even asked. Going above and beyond to help us with reservations (including a last minute request to help us find somewhere to watch the sunset!). The grounds are absolutely beautiful, as are the rooms. Feels like a little sanctuary but still walking distance from all the best restaurants, galleries and the wine tram. Highly highly recommend. Only thing is we wish the pool was heated!"
"Unbelievable and amazing stay/experience at this property. Ideally located on the Main Street in Franschhoek so walking distance to most restaurants/bars. The hotel staff were so attentive and lovely they couldn’t do enough for you. Already planning to come back for our next stay "

"We spent our last night in Boschendal in a werf suite. We were very impressed, it probably had the best bed on our trip. The cottage was well decorated and very well equipped. The staff were friendly and the food at the Werf restaurant was great. I would recommend."
