“Something Different in Kerrville”

This property has the old West feel, and the lobby, lobby bar and restaurant are great! The rooms need some updating, and the grounds needed more attention, but all in all, it was a fun place to stay.

The restaurant at the YO Ranch Hotel is beautiful and the food was great! Also Francisco's was a fun place to eat with great food.

“Needs some touch up but is a hotel with character and style”

I only stayed one night on my way through Texas but I specifically chose this hotel for its longstanding and even overseas known style and character. It is true the hotel rooms could need some touch ups like the bathrooms, however technically it is up to date with cable TV and Wifi is the room that really works. Airconditioning no problem. Considering the age of the hotel vera clean rooms and corridora. The hotel lobby is unique and worth being seen. Has a bit of the old western flair that I missed in other texan hotels. Nostalgia does not necessarily mean old and run down. I was pleased with the hotel and was glad that I chose this hotel. I cannot say anything about the breakfast as I had to leave early in the morning. If I come back to that area I will certainly stay there again.

“Someone will freeze if you have 4 people.”

One of the beds was located right next to the air conditioner with about 1 foot (if that) between the bed and the ac. Since there were four of us (parents + 2 children), I slept (not much) right next to the ac. In order for the rest of the room to be comfortable, we had to run the ac. I was very uncomfortable and barely slept. Also, don't expect a free breakfast. My wife bought her morning coffee across the street. There is a small coffee pot in the room, but not big enough if two of you want coffee. Still, I could recommend the hotel if you don't care about coffee or breakfast and if you only have to put one person in the bed next to the ac. The place was clean and the rooms were a little larger than most.

Area recommendations

Most of the hotels in Kerrville are located close to this one, close to the intersection of Highway 16 and I-10. Inn of the Hills is on the other side (west) of Kerrville. I stayed there once in a pretty cool room, but it's a bit more expensive than any of the other motels in Kerrville (that I know of).

“Pretty good”

Not a bad hotel at all, especially given the price and area. The room was a bit humid, though the A/C worked fine (not sure what the issue was). Our room had 2 queen beds and the A/C was very close to the bed, so you will have air blowing on you all night. Could potentially be a bit loud since the floors are all tile. Otherwise, no complaints.

“Great Stay - we would definitely go back!”

We liked this hotel and would go back. It has character! The rooms were clean and nice. The foyer was interesting. We did not try the restaurant.

“Dated, but clean, comfortable, and quiet”

The decor is dated, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Even if you choose not to stay at the YO, stop by and take a look at the lobby, which is like museum with big comfortable chairs. The restaurant food is very good and relatively inexpensive. Don't pass up their breakfast buffet when they have it (they don't have it every morning).

“The Best Ranch Hotel Ever with a touch of Modern!!!”

This was the best stay ever.. the hotel rooms were great and had a balcony. Wireless internet is available, hotel staff are magnificent and make friendly conversation. The AC really makes the place cold. I felt like a bear hibernating in winter. A+++

“Very Nice Hotel”

This was a very nice, clean hotel with an excellet resturant. I highly recommend it to anyone and will stay here again when/if I go back to that area.
