“Review”

Each and every staff member was friendly and helpful. Hotel was right on the beach. Bar and restaurant on location. Service at these two were excellent also. Food was quite exceptional and well prepared. My only complaint was having to use the a/c to keep the room cool, especially at night. I don't like a/c but room configuration made it a requirement. But that is only a minor detail.

“A special place for special people”

I loved this place--it had exactly what I wanted. It was close to the beach, small, casual, clean, and personal. It was perfect to unwind, read a book, and just sit and look at the ocean. It's not a resort, it's not fancy, it's not for the upscale traveler. But it was absolutely great for me.

“One of the most beautiful spots on the island”

The hotel has a great location. Sunsets are truely amazing. The owners are hands on and friendly. Rooms are a bit old fashioned but we didn't spend our time in the room, we spent our time outside and on the many adventures St. Croix has to offer.

“Beautiful beachside setting”

Nice older hotel on a great beach located on the west end of the island. Beautiful sunsets and a great restaurant are right there. Quiet at night, but the locals do get up early. Friendly and efficient staff.

“Sand Castle escape”

We had a wonderful week out of the snow at Sand Castle. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the restaurant. The food was poor at best and both the restaurant and bar are only open 4 days of the week.

“Highly recommend, can't wait to go back, great beaches!”

This is a wonderful, personal little hotel. It is not a resort so if that is what you are after you wont be happy. It is literally right on the beach. The staff was superb. They always greeted me by name and were more than helpful with whatever I needed. My room was not large but very efficient and comfortable. There was a lot of noise from the street side but after a few days I hardly noticed. The same with music from weekend beach partying by the locals, but again not unexpected and easily gotten used to. The pool is small but with the ocean 50ft away it was hardly used. Everything was kept very clean, including my room. I stayed 16 days and although there were plenty of other guests during that time, I never felt crowded or that my privacy was being invaded. Except on the day the cruise ship came in, but that was only once during my stayand that day I chose to spend elsewhere.

“Very Pleased.”

My husband and I were very impressed by the hotel and the people of St Croix. Front desk was very helpful. Room was always cleaned well. Great for relaxation, and not partying. My only wish was that the bar was opened more, and could of made more money on us. But bought Cruzan rum and made drinks in room. Great sunsets and food. On days that restaurant was closed, went to Villa Morales. Great Spanish and seafood. Not happy with expedia giving us wrong # for hotel, as we missed flight to get there on time, and we tried to call and let them know. Do the Buck Island, Botanical garden, Cruzan Rum tour, and kayak. Snokeling off the hotel was great too. Miss it already.
