Cons: Fix the furniture!
Location: Irene's restaurant is right around the corner and really terrific
The location was exactly what we wanted. It was close enough to Frenchman's street where there was great jazz every single day and far enough away from the chaos of Bourbon Street. The staff ranged from friendly to clueless, to surly. The room we had was dark and tiny and the furniture so antique that the drawers would not open and close well. The continental breakfast was adequate and we were happy to have. It may not continue when a new upscale restaurant opens on the premises. While we were unhappy at first, all in all we did not regret the choice of hotel.

Very nice. Is gated so no worries about break ins. People are friendly and its close to the French Quarter without being in the middle of all the noise.

This was a great hotel - right in the middle of the action in the French Quarter. I look forward to staying there again and will recommend it to others.

Simply Peaceful

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: The old world French feel of the buildings, the rooms, even the lobby. The balcony was cute...looking over the courtyard (parking).
Cons: An indoor pool would nice for those off season days.
Location: Royal & Bourbon Streets are only a couple of blocks away. This means great New Orleans food and fashion.
There is no doubt in our minds that you will find this hotel both quaint and peaceful. From the staff's eagerness to help to the old world charm this hotel has it. We have stayed here multiple times and have never been disappointed. If you have questions on a restaurant or a point of interest the staff is more than happy to help. They have two (2) outdoor pools that also have a lot of old world charm. The rooms are clean, spacious, and have the amenities that you would expect for a hotel of this caliber.
