Great historic hotel - friendly staff - pricey

We stayed here for a weekend getaway and it is a beautiful historic hotel, there is a main street you can walk with odd shops and such, much like New Hope but smaller. Great charm but it will cost you.

Bed was a little uncomfortable and the heating was very noisy...otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

A must to go and visit. It's a very small town with some shopping, but everything closes very early around 5pm. So go early. Marlyn, the hotel manager was great. He is a very genuine. Will visit again.

The perfect Get-Away Hotel in a delightful town.

All the charm of a building from the 1850s coupled with modern sensibilities. An inviting friendly feel, yet still cozy and intimate. We would, and probably will, stay there again. We would definitely eat there again too. Don't miss out having a fabulous dinner at The National. They have a unique menu that is beautifully prepared. Interesting drink selections also. Overall a wonderful experience!

Room was great except for the noise level, our room being right next to the back exit door. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would have had a additional towel or two and definitely a bath mat at this level of accommodation. Breakfast was outstanding, with quiche and mini croissants- items generally not seen in a continental breakfast at this price point. The hotel restaurant has a varied menu and was delicious. The manager was friendly and attentive.

Pros: Comfort & Unique Decor
Cons: Occasional road noise, though this is pretty unavoidable.
Location: Great restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Vintage Frenchtown

This historic property faces a busy intersection, however our rear facing room was large, quiet and comfortable, with our back door opening onto a spacious porch. The hallway carpet was stained and a bit wrinkled, but once in the room, all was nice. Service was accommodating, and the chef even let us take some basil from her kitchen garden. The food in small dining room was good, if a bit pricey. What we sorely lacked, however was the availability of morning coffee and tea on the premises. One had to walk across the street to the "gas station" to purchase this essential.
