“we are done with Water Tree”
The central chiller/heater was set on Heater from November to March, therefore, our room was far too warm, even with it turned off in our room. The window opened about an inch and afforded some relief, but not much. The bed was hard as a board. In the morning we went to the continental breakfast--which consisted of a bowl of powdered sugar mini donuts, a gallon of milk, a gallon of Sunny Delight, some bagels and cream cheese and two kinds of cereals. The coffee sucked--it was like motor oil. we have stayed at Water Tree before and all in all found it to be nice and comfortable and the breakfast a good variety, etc and the coffee good. We have stayed our last stay at Water Tre
“Bad bed=little sleep”
This had to be the worse bed I have ever been in. I have traveled throughout Latin America and no bed was anywhere near as bad as this. Next time I will stay elsewhere.
“Decent stay, great price”
My only complaint about this hotel was that the bed was not exactly comfortable and they provided less than mediocre pillows. When I called and asked the front desk to bring more pillows (none were stocked in the closet), they never brought any extras. However, the room was clean and spacious with it's own patio/table and access to the pool . There was plenty of parking and close to everywhere my partner and I needed to go. The neighborhood seemed decent and the staff was friendly enough.
“a motel/hotel with good value”
overall, it was a nice experience. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable, except the continental breakfast was not impressive at all, and the staff who took care of our check-in was not really friendly.
“under-rated”
This hotel deserves better ratings. clean pool, comfy beds, georgous and friendly lady at the reception. they're helpful all the time. a very good budget hotel.
“convenience hotel.”
Can only control the fan speed of the air condition. Can't control the room temperature...that's the only problem
“I enjoyed my stay!”
My only complaint is that the bed was a little too firm for me. Everything else was to my satisfaction. I had open access the the internet. Very clean and quiet hotel.
“A big no in service.”
I haven't rent an apartment, where no one will take care of me. I have booked a room in a hotel, that it's supposed to be all about service. I've been in this hotel at least five times before, and even though it was never about excellent service, at least someone would pick up the phone, be polite and send whatever I needed (that is never too much, btw.) This time it sucked. Nothing to be afraid of, but I'm not happy at all. If I can find another option for my next trip to Fresno, I won't go back to this hotel.
“The absolute worst experience ever”
First assigned room did not have any power except the ceiling light. I demanded a replacement room, and was sent around to several smoking rooms, one of which had a massive, raucous party going on next door. After about 90 minutes of consternation, including endless lame excuses about no other rooms being available, I was finally issued a half-way acceptable room. By that time it was close to midnight, and I needed to wake up at 4:30 to prepare for my business event. But don't stop reading yet; the best (or rather, worst) is yet to come! With all the aggravation naturally it took me some time to get to sleep, especially with the 2 bus loads of tourists partying it up, and the noisy street that the motel faces. I don't know how long I was asleep, but at 2:30 the lights came on and this group of people walked into my room. They had rented my room to another party in the middle night. Did I even get an apology? No. They said that happened because I changed rooms. If I had not changed rooms, it would not have happened. My fault, they said. If you go there, and have a bad experience, it will be your own fault too.
“a good holiday location for the solo traveler”
First year I had an iPad and found the free wireless connection unreliable. Have stayed here many years during Holiday seasons and find it is the best value for me.
